Chapter 13 - A Break

Dipper's POV

I knew this would happen. I, the one with the big brain had been fooled by love. I am included as a victim of love.

I thought this will be a perfect day. A date with Wendy would be nice but then I was thinking of not continuing to the date after what happened. I just can't pretend like nothing happened.

I am laying here in my bed again, thinking then I heard someone calling my name downstairs.

"Dipper, you have a call!" Grunkle Stan shouted from downstairs.

"Coming!" I shouted then sighed.

I picked up the telephone then said hello. I frowned as I heard her voice. It was Wendy.

"Hey Dipper! Why aren't you here? I thought you'd come by at our house to-"

"No!" I cut her off and I think that made her frown and confused.

"What?"

"The date is over!.." I blurted out with tears coming out not intentionally.

"We're over." I whispered through the phone.

"What?!" She asked once more but this time, more shocked.

"I went to your house earlier. Then I s-saw you and R-Robbie kissing." I said hiccuping. I can't control my emotions anymore.

"I-It's not what you think Dipper. It's not what you think it is. Robbie went to my house but I don't want him to be there. He expl-" I can tell that she is nervous. She was explaining but I cut her off. I know what was going on. There's no further explaination on what happened.

"Listen Wendy, my mind can't process this situation all at once. My mind is just confused right now. I just need a break." I said.

She sighed. I think she agrees with me. It's her fault we're taking a break. Well, partially because I can't blame her. It's all Robbie's fault.

I hanged the telephone and sighed. Then I called another friend.

I decided to hang out with someone from the gang. I decided to talk to someone I could rely on and that someone would be Lee.

Hours Later

I went to the park and then I saw Lee. He is sitting on a bench.

"Hey Lee!" I waved hello to him as I am walking up to him.

"So, you said you wanted to talk to me personally. About Wendy, right?" He assured after I sat on the bench beside him.

"Well, me and Wendy are together." I said. I expect him to be suprised on what I said.

"What?!" He blurted with a shocked look on face.

"So what's the problem?" He continued.

"We are planning to go on a date today so I went to her house. When I was finally there, I saw Robbie kissed her."

"Hmm? I know that Robbie and Tambry are in a relationship." He said, disappointed. I know that he likes Tambry. I can tell.

So I guess both of us are upset.

"Maybe it's just a misunderstanding. Talk to her." He said and I nodded. Maybe he's right. I should have just given her the time to explain everything.

I looked around to see the beauty of the park. That alway's take my mind of things. Then I saw her.

It's Wendy.
