One by one we fall from heaven,
Down into the depths of past
And our world is ever upturned
So that yet some time we'll last.

Sand in an hourglass.

Kings and Queens may cling to power
And the Jester's got his call
But, as you may all discover,
The common one outranks them all

Ace in a deck of cards.

What can run but never walks,
Has a mouth but never talks,
Has a bed but never sleeps,
Has a head but never weeps?

A River

A cloud is my mother
The wind is my father
My son is the cool stream and my daughter is the fruit of the land
A rainbow is my bed
The earth my final resting place, and I'm the torment of man.

Rain

Each morning I appear
To lie at your feet
All day I will follow you
No matter how fast you run
Yet I nearly perish
In the midday sun.

Shadow

You hear me before,
Yet you hear me again,
Then I die,
Until you call me again.
