I did some animation for this so I'll be reviewing that and not the whole thing. If you want more information about the videos presented, there's a Google Doc link with everything you need. I'll also do an overall review of the project near the end.

My Animations

Fun Fact #1: BRO, MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO PUT THE YOUTUBE REWIND SYMBOL ON MY EYES AND MAKE THAT GLOW AT THE VERY BEGINNING!!!! I was, but I was on a tight schedule and couldn't be bothered to edit my model and rerender it.

Fun Fact #2: I put together that youtube rewind button because obviously, it's no where to be found for download online. It's not really exciting, just a 2D flat texture with the red rectangle and white triangles in seperate layers so I can play with it a lot easier.

Fun Fact #3: "2D??? But in the next shot, you shattered it like a 3D object!" - You

I used a heart model that has the ability to shatter to act as the play button when I hit it with the baseball bat. If you notice closely, there's no white shards for the triangles and I forgot to add the glow effect to the model so it's a darker red than the actual play button.

And I animated every individual flying shard piece. I'm really proud of that since it semi looks natural.

Fun Fact #4: Why the baseball bat? I saw another mmder animate a baseball bat hitting a TV and I wanted to try it with the play button. Lol

Fun Fact #5: I quickly slapped together some motions and effects for some models for the "Favorite Models" portion of the video. By models, I mean two. The Nyxxie Miku and KDA Seto.

Overall

Fun Fact #1: I had such a hard time choosing, finding, and numbering my favorites in all the categories. Everyone's so talented, like wtf.

Fun Fact #2: Favoritism much? Of course! It MY favorite lists, not what youtubes likes and numbers.

But addressing the bunch of repeated creators in my video, I'm sorry but they do shit right. Idk why when I search up PV's, I get dance videos instead of an engaging story. These are people I watch and admire, yeah, but my standards have surprisingly gone up for what I expect from an mmd video and some people just don't qualify for my standards.

Big reason why I don't download mmd motions anymore. Occasionally dance motions, but not the other stuff anymore because it's no longer captivating to me and has become repetitive as hell.

Oop, changed the subject. Back to the facts.

Fun Fact #3: I was on a tight schedule making this since I was going to my cousins for new years and they live 4 to 5 hours away from where I do. I only had like about 2 to 3 weeks or so to plan, organize, animate, edit everything I needed for it to be done while skipping a few things during it which I'll go into more detail right now.

Fun Fact #4: I was going to ask these creators if I could use their videos in my mmd rewind, but I ended up not doing it and I still feel bad about it. My tight schedule wasn't going to let me wait for a reply and if they said no, my lists would be ruined. I mean, I could of gotten a new channel or video to replace them, but what if they also said no or just didn't reply? I jumped the gun, but I tried being modest with the content is used by....

Fun Fact #5: limiting myself to getting footage from the mmd MAPs I participated in that year. I mean, once I ran out of footage to use from those videos, I switched to people's videos anyway. But it was videos from people I mentioned in the lists.

Fun Fact #6: And about using people's videos, I feel bad for butchering their video quality. I feel like you can tell???

I used my screen recorder thing I have to record people's videos playing on youtube. Doing it this way caused the screen recorded videos of the videos have a glitch effect at certain points which I hate but didn't have time to re-record them.

I wanted to download all the videos to maintain their quality, but one: that's a lot of videos, and two: I didn't have the time.

The only video I actually downloaded was Monica doing the fortnite dance. It was obviously glitchy and I had enough time to at least get that one. It was very important.

Fun Fact #7: I took a peek at what mmd video actually ranked in likes and views and it was a Frozen video of Elsa and Anna edited into the Ralph Breaks the Internet skit of the bunny being over fed with pancakes.

Imagine a rewind video being accurate to youtubes number rated lists.

Anyway, found the video if you want to view what youtube considers top quality mmd content.

Fun Fact #8: I see you clicking off the video at 2:30 ish in my video. But honestly same, the Billie Ellish section can be pretty lackluster.

Fun Fact #9: Decided to do this because I couldn't find a song to synchronize edit to my videos like every other year.

Also because the rewind remix is a bop. We can all agree on that.

Fun Fact #10: I dedicated a small section to remind everyone we lost a musically influential person in the mmd and vocaloid community, Wowaka.

That isn't the fun fact tho, the fun Fact is that I miSPELLED A WORD IN THAT TEXT OYDOHXOYDOTXOGOHC

Fuck me, I even double checked to make sure I spent everything right from video names, content creator channel names, getting the numbers right, but I fucked up one word in the most sentimental part of the video. Honestly seems like something I'd do.

I have a track record for misspelling shit, it's sad.

Fun Fact #11: I ran out of category ideas at the end, so I just did my picture slideshow thing I do in my other new year videos. It's long and boring.

Fun Fact #12: I really enjoyed doing something like this. I learned how to do some new things in Premiere I didn't know how to do and remembered how to do things I've forgotten how to do. I would put myself through this torture again this year if I'd like to. I already have an idea in mind for this years and when the time comes, I hope I can do it :>

Thank you
