Alice's/Angela's Pov:
I opened my eyes and realized today is the day I get my answers, after all these months of suffering. After showering I change my clothes into the dress and put on my coat. I put on my eyeliner and red lipstick across my lips. I look at myself in the mirror and reassure myself that this is what I want. I wear my heels and make my way downstairs. I open my door and Gio was standing there, I think he was about to knock.
"Wow, um I'm here to take your stuff Angela" He says
"Oh okay" I hand him my small luggage and he takes it without breaking eye contact with me. We stay there for a while until I cough awkwardly and he looks down then leaves. I walk downstairs and walk into the dinning room where I find my dad having his breakfast with the other men. I walk in and my dad gets up from his chair.
"Angela you look beautiful today" He says as he kisses my cheek
"Thank you dad, I'll be leaving after breakfast" I tell him
"Okay, I'll miss you sweetheart. Now eat" He motions for me to sit and dig into my food. I sit in my chair across from Antonio and start to eat.
I look at the table wondering where was Luca and Gio? They should eat, I mean we have a long trip ahead of us. I plop another piece of my pancake into my mouth and think what do I have to do today. Well I have to pick up George and then head to the hotel to drop off our stuff then finally go to see Adriano. You're ready Angela, you wanted this and you got it... be confident and don't look weak infront of him. You need answers if it comes to closure, closure... I shake that thought out of my mind because I don't want closure from him, I want him.
I looked at the plate infront of me and it looked unappetizing all of a sudden. My half eaten plate I pushed farther from my direction, I can see my brother caught my actions and looked at me weirdly. I decide to ignore him but mouthed to him 'I'll tell you later in the car' he then nodded and devoured his food. Everyone finishes their food and I'm not amazed that they finished it so quickly. Antonio and I get up and say our goodbyes to our dad then exit through the front door.
We enter the car and to my surprise George was already inside. I look at who's driving and it was Gio. Ah thats where they went, probably Luca went to go get him while Gio waited for him to change places. George was sitting in the front next to Gio and looks behind to see me.
"Hey, so whats up with the huge house and so much security Alice?" He asks
"My dad likes to take precautions you know just in case" I explain to him
"Ah, well theres nothing more precious than a daughter or son" He says
"Yeah" I answer
"I talked to Mr.Adams this morning and he'll be arriving in Portdale the same time as us. Whatever you need Alice, I'll be there for you" He says out of the blue
"Thank you George" I smile at him and I see in the corner of my eye Gio eye roll, what was that about? I ignore it and wait until we get to the airport. Four cars were following us two in front and two in back. I understand I need security but this is too much dad!
"So Alice and Antonio if you don't mind me asking, what does your dad do? I mean I'm jut curious thats all" He asks, oh no. I was silent and didnt know what to say
"My dad has a multi billionaire company and we buy and sell stocks" He answers calmly
"Oh that makes sense, so what do you do Antonio?" He asks him
"I'm my fathers prodigy and I'm going to take over his business when he's gone with Alice"
"Wow he must be a family man" He says
