Writing Prompt: The Quest

"Quest" — Write a story where the protagonist and friends go out in search of something. Example: The Lord of the Rings.

Sierra Rose was livid after witnessing her sister's death at the hands of the cowboy who worked on the family ranch. After confronting him, the cowboy said he had nothing to do with her sister's death. But she didn't believe him. She ordered him off the ranch or she would tell her father.

Not wanting to go to jail after being in jail for another murder, the cowboy did as Sierra requested. Her father had been so kind in giving him a job after he got out of prison, he didn't want anyone find out about his past. So he simply left.

But Sierra's father was upset that the cowboy left and when Sierra told him why, he told her to go find him. He didn't believe her story about killing her sister, especially since he knew who did it.

So, Sierra set out to find the cowboy and bring him back to the family ranch.
