CHAPTER TWENTY:
THE SKI RESORT PART ONE
★ ★ ★
"I need to take a shower."
It was a day after her argument with Sirius and her return to her grandparents house. Last night, itself was a blur to her. She barely remembered her argument with Sirius or returning home. Everything felt like a dizzy exchange of words that she couldn't stop. She barely remembered what Harry told her last night.
However, when she woke up this morning in bed with Harry sleeping on the edge of her bed it all came back to her.
She'd remembered telling him last night and seeing the expression on his face when he realised. She also couldn't forget how safe she felt in his arms when he held her for the half the night, she'd felt so safe she fell asleep and didn't wake till the next morning.
Harry had been sitting the bottom of her bed, eyes rested tiredly on her when she work. After last night, she somehow felt vulnerable around him. Not because he judged her - if anything she felt as though she could tell him anything - but because she spent the night sobbing into his chest because she told him everything.
He didn't ask any questions or push her to press but he was there. He was there the entire time, and his words of encouragement had made her feel something for him. She'd remembered one of the entire reasons she'd fallen for him in the first place. Not even in a romantic way, but it reminded her of the entire reason they became friends in the first place.
"Okay yeah, do you want me to get you anything? I can go down and sneak up breakfast or get you some clothes-"
"I'm fine, Harry-" she began but he gave her the tiniest of looks and she let out a small sigh and corrected her words, "I'm not fine but I'm managing for the moment."
He leaned over and as if it would somehow cure everything, awkwardly patted her leg. She resisted the urge to laugh, and looked down at this hand on her knee. She rose a brow.
"I'm glad you told me." she heard him say as she went through the dresser and took out her clothes. When she turned around he had stood up. "I'm glad you felt as though you could tell me. I-I want to be here for you when you need me to be."
His words could only cause her to smile knowing he was there. She took her towel, and walked over. She stood in front of him and gestured for him to lean down slightly and when he does she leaned forward and pressed a kiss against his cheek.
