CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE:
A BAD DAY
★ ★ ★
Valentines day had been awkward.
Once January went by, as did the middle of February. Valentines came around, and Harry was gone off with Cho, and she was left to her own devices. He had been gone when she woke up, and Ron informed her Cho had left early and he didn't want to wake her. So whilst everyone else was off with someone on Valentine's Day, she went into the library. So she walked into the library, after not being able to find it for a very long time.
She had come in a few times but not to study.
As she sat down, she felt as though everyone was staring at her.
This was her first Valentine's Day alone, and knowing her boyfriend was on a date did not feel the best either. It was bloody annoying but she knew she was the one soo wanted their relationship to be a secret.
For the simple reason that he was the one relationship she wanted to last. That she would work to make it last.
Before she could dwell anymore into the idea of this, a figure came over.
"Draco." she says, not hiding how happy she was to see him. "Please, sit."
Slowly he does so. "Are you ill?"
"Lately I've been feeling slightly dizzy but nothing to bad." her brows furrow. "Not currently, though, no. I am not ill."
"Then why are you in the library?"
A small laugh comes from her lips. "Part of the deal of me coming back is that I pass my exams. I don't have long left to learn everything we've done so here I am."
Draco nods. The two of them sit in oddly comfortable silence after this. There were a few eyes that did look upon them both with an almost pitiful look.
"I'm surprised you are even agreeing to sit beside me." she says, under her breath. "We haven't spoken in a while, and I thought since I am disowned that we-"
"We're not friends, we're not cousins." he interrupts sharply. "I just sat here cause I wanted to give you this."
There it was. She should have known that he, like the rest of them, was going to have the same opinion. When it came to Draco she found herself always trying to look for the good in him, yet he always disappointed her. He pulls out a letter, and hands it to her. She takes it and it reads her name.
