SHE TOOK A STEP BACK
A little girl that once painted her own world with rainbows, trees, white cottony clouds, clear sky and butterflies
She drew them with words of poetry and short stories
She was happy and content.
Now all grown up
She still painted the world with her gift of words
But with the light of Allah's Book and the sunnah of the Rasul (s.a.w)
She was happy and complete.
Doors started to open
Windows came into view
The world has gone bigger now
Bigger than she ever knew.
So she took a step back
Scared of the fame
Wary of people's praises
It was way too overwhelming
Making her heart fearful of her Rabb.
Because she wrote for the love of HIM
For the Ummah to get to know HIM
Because Allah is her everything.
She's afraid she might forget
She's afraid she could get drowned by the recognition
She's afraid she would no longer be sincere in her works
She's afraid to lose HIS Love.
Masha Allah.
So she will take a step back every time the door opens
Or when the view from the dunya is just too great
Knowing Allah is the Greatest.
She is thankful for the gift
For the chance
For the breakthrough
For the love of the people towards her
Unbelievable
Incredible
Humbled.
But
She can die any minute from now
The Angel of Death lurks
So she took a step back
And keep her eeman safe
Holding on to the rope of her religion
With Allah nothing could go wrong
But with fame and pride and arrogance,
Shaytan is ever ready to dim the lights and remove us from the straight path
She doesn't want that.
She takes a step back
Happier in her own painted world
The door remains open
The windows in perfect view.
She will only go through whatever life brings and gives to her
Under the guidance and protection
Of her Almighty Creator.
Dreams do come true
But death too is an inevitable truth
Live life for HIM
But be prepared for the meeting of HIM.
Allahumma Ameen.
