Why I Think Godzilla Will Be Remembered Forever

A/N: since we're all celebrating godzilla's 64th (or 65th) birthday, I decided to give my own short little reaosn to why godzilla, will be an icon who will be remembered forever.

*He paved the way for the kaiju genre.

*Has possibly the longest running movie franchise of all time with officially 33 films release and even more of them to come in the future.

With this he gained many things from the success of the films over the years, Like an over abundance of figures, comics and games just to name a few.

*Has made pop cultural references in nearly everything.

*Has influenced the creation of other kaiju to come along.

*Has become a recognizable movie star that he's even in the Hollywood walk of fame.

*Has become an official Japanese citizen.

*Has been many things over the years to a hero, a villain, an anti-hero, a reincarnation of japan's dead, a caring father, a doctor and an environmentalist. But him being a metaphor for war and the carelessness and pride of man is his most well known one. 

*His has recently gotten his very own constellation. His not only become a movie star, but a literal star amongst many more in space.

Why I bring this up is to quote a little line MothGoji gave: "In Ancient Greek Times, many of the heroes of Greek Mythology have been given constellations in the stars to be remembered for generations."

Now, it's godzilla's turn.
