Good thing I learned every nook and cranny of the Waverider. It's always good to know an escape route in case something happens. Like the Time Masters coming to capture the team. I don't know why they're after us, now. I mean, what happened during Savage's exchange.
I only saw Mick, Ray, Stein, and Kendra get taken. Rip isn't back so, so something must have happened to him. I'm glad Snart and Sara found a hiding spot before they got taken. I wanted to make sure the close was clear, so went through the vents until I stopped at the main room. Snart and Sara were out, but looked like they were in a heated conversation.
"Wait, what about the team?" Sara asked Snart. She was starting to get angry.
"There's nothing more we can do for them," Snart said. Wait? Is he really thinking about leaving while the team's been captured?
"You're just gonna leave Mick?"
"If the Time Masters are half as twisted as Mick said, there's an excellent chance Mick is no longer Mick. Now why aren't we flying yet?"
Sara scoffed. "And what about Morgan? Are you just going to leave her?"
"Claws can take care of herself. She is a werewolf, in case you forgot."
"Don't do that. Don't pretend that you're not worried about her. Out of everyone on the team, you two grew close. And I know if she were here, she wouldn't leave the team behind." Snart was starting to get angry. If I don't do something, they're gonna rip each other's heads off. "Don't act like you're the same cold-hearted bastard that I first met. It's ok to admit that you lov -"
Snart pulled his cold gun out and aimed it at her. "Maybe I didn't make myself clear."
I jumped down from my place and stood in front of Sara. I felt my eyes glow, fangs bared, as I roared at Snart.
"That's enough!" I roared. Snart didn't put his gun down. I glared at him as I took a step forward. "You're not touching her. Do I make myself clear."
"Out of the way, Claws."
"No."
"I said out of the way."
My glared hardened. "Make me."
Snart and I were having a stare down. He's not leaving until we save our team. That's what he signed up for. He knew what he was getting himself into. The phone suddenly started ringing, making us break our stare. Sara gave us a confused look before slowly walking over to it.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hello, Ms. Lance," I heard Gideon.
Sara looked at us in relief. "Gideon, you're alive." Well, she is built in the ship. And it's a time ship. Not that surprised. I tuned out the first part of what Gideon said. "We can share war stories later. Where the rest of the team?"
"They're in cell block 4587, and they, too, are alive...for the moment." Wait, 'for the moment?'
"What do you mean 'for the moment'? "

Gideon had an idea. A good idea at that. Sara and I arrived at the Time Masters timeships headquarters and started planting these small devices on each one. I thought it would be funny to see the look on their captain's faces for what we're about to do. But we can't fly until Gideon was done connecting to the Time Drive. Though Snart's ring tapping isn't helping the wait.
"Just another moment. I'm almost through," Gideon said.
"Even if this works, we're never gonna be able to fly out off here," Snart complained.
"Well, that's the beauty of having a timeship," Sara started. "We don't have to fly anywhere.
Snart continued tapping his pinky ring against the floor. The constant tapping was getting on my nerves, so I grabbed his hand to stop him.
"You tap that thing one more time, I'm cut your fingers off," I threatened.
Snart smirked at me. "Then who's going to put their finger in your -"
Sara interrupted. "Ok, I don't need to hear what you two do in the bedroom?" I lightly chuckled at her as I let go of Snart's hand. "Why did you start wearing that thing, anyways?"
"It's from the first job I ever pulled off with Mick. A Freeport warehouse."
I smirked at him. "Oh, you do have a sentimental side."
"It's not a keepsake." Snart moved his head from the wall to lay it on my lap. "It's a reminder."
"Of what?" Sara asked from her place near the monitor.
"That even the best laid plans can go sideways. Spent a lot of time prepping for that heist. Casing the target. Memorizing shift changes and delivery schedules," I reached down and laced our fingers together, "and then surprise! Turns out they'd upgraded their security system. We had to bolt. Three weeks of planning and all I have to show for it..."
"Was a lousy pinky ring," Sara finished as Snart moved his pinkie around. "So sad."
"Considering I'm about to trade my life for nothing, I think I came out ahead."
Then there was this whirling sound as the power came back on.
"The Time Drive is back online," Gideon said.
"Great," I said. I took my hand out of Snart's before pushing him off, making him land on the floor, before getting up. "Let's strap in."
Sara went towards Rip's seat in the front while Snart and I took ours. The Waverider rose up before leaving. We're not going back to the past or the future, no we're staying in the present. But now that I think about it, shouldn't we go to the past and warn everyone about this? Never mind, 'we can't interfere with the timeline.'

Sara dropped Snart and I off the cell block where the team was being held. And by drop-off, I mean, she blasted an entrance for us to go through. We jumped off and I ran at one of the captains and snapped his neck. His lifeless body dropped to the ground as Snart ran ahead of me. He ran at the Time Master and swung his cold gun across his head, knocking him out.
"Somebody order up a rescue?" Snart asked as he raised his gun.
"Mr. Snart. Miss Hale. You're timing is impeccable," Stein breathed. That's when I caught it. Stein's scent. The scent of decay. I could actually smell Stein slowly dying.
"Or not," Ray said as I heard footsteps behind us.
Snart and I turned around. His cold run ready to fire while I fully shifted with my claws out. There was another whirl coming towards us. Mick came out of the shadows with a gun pointed at us. Wait, not Mick. Chronos.
"You've got to be kidding me," I mumbled. Mick slowly walked towards us.
"Put the gun down, Mick," Snart said.
Another Time Master ran from behind him. "Chronos, fire." Mick cocked his gun. I got on the balls of my feet, getting ready to attack.
"Sure thing," Mick's robotic voice said. Then he turned to the Time Master and fired. He took off his robot mask and stalked towards the Time Master. "If I recall, I made you a certain promise."
The guy grunted. "No, I beg of you." He pointed at me. "Kill her. She's the reason why that abomination is alive." Abomination? Mick raised his boot. "No!"
Mick brought his boot down and crushed the Time Master's head. "That's no way to talk about her son. Even if he did try to kill us."
I have him a confused look. "Son?"
Mick brought his gun down. "It seems that the Time Masters are an expert in lying."

A/N: I don't want to write the next chapter. You can't make me! I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible. My heart won't take it!
And son?!?!?!?!?
