Vivian left Vincent for a while so he could dry off and get dressed while she went downstairs and was able to take in the cabin for the first time. As she exited the bathroom, she took her time looking around the bedroom for a bit. The walls, ceiling and floors were all made out of the same, warm, dark wood. The high ceiling and beams gave the bedroom a special feel combined with the stone fireplace in the corner. The bed placed against the wall was big with lots of cushions and blankets to protect them from the cold Colorado air. The wall opposite of the bed was completely made out of windows giving them a great view of the lake below. Bedside lamps were placed on each side of the bed while many different rugs were placed on the floor. It was beautiful, she thought, before making her way downstairs to search the main floor of the cabin. The living room was a small area with a sliding door that lead to the back porch where a small bistro table with two seats stood making Vivian dream of early mornings; drinking coffee and eating breakfast with Vincent while looking out over the lake bathing in the early morning sun. The living room had a loveseat with some blankets thrown over it in front of another stone fireplace. A couple bookcases stood in the corner next to a small table with what appeared to be a landline. But that was about it. There was no television present, nothing. The kitchen took up the biggest part of the downstairs level. The large country kitchen was made out of wood, no surprises there, painted a very dark grey with a stone counter. The L-shape was placed against the wall with a large kitchen island placed in the middle surrounded by high chairs creating the classic living kitchen feeling. It was gorgeous and Vivian couldn't help but look around her in awe.

After walking around the downstairs level some more Vivian found herself in the kitchen eventually. Eyeing the coffee machine on the counter made her realize how exhausted she was. She hadn't been sleeping properly for about a week and now she started to feel the exhaustion. Even though she hadn't technically used any magic, her body weight heavy. She'd simply used a remedy; a mixture of herbs and salts used to boost the natural healing of the body. Since Vincent already had quick healing, she'd hoped the remedy would work and she'd been lucky it had. He'd needed her and so she had decided to do everything possible to help him. A part of her was hurt she wasn't able to do more since she was unable to do any type of powerful spell or magic. Healing magic was among the strongest and hardest and so Vivian had known she would feel. It broke her a little; knowing she should be able to do it but was unable to. It felt like she failed – like she was incomplete.

Looking around the many cabinets caused her to eventually find the coffee. She made a large pot before opening the fridge in search of something to eat. Vincent's fridge was filled to the brim, causing her to assume he'd planned on staying here for at least a couple days. She cut up some fresh fruits before making the batter for the pancakes. Just as she'd finished the first batch, she felt his presence come down the stairs. Looking up she saw Vincent walk her way - only wearing a pair of sweats with no shirt. Most of his features had gone back to normal, except his eyes which were still the same bright amber color. As he took the place besides her, she put a hand on his cheek causing him to purr and close his eyes. She looked over the skin of his neck and wrists, noticing he was healing rapidly.
