[Onoda Residence]

FSSHH~

The eggs sizzled on the pan. It was 6:45 in the morning, and Ms. Onoda was making breakfast.

"There..." She puts three bowls of egg and onions on rice, some toast, and a small bowl of miso soup.

RATTLE

"Hm?" She turns to hear noise from the stairs. Her son was running down in a frantic manner.

"Wuah--I'm late!"

"Morning. I made breakfast." She didn't get a response, as Sakamichi puts on his shoes. He comes to the table to grab a toast.

"Sorry, mom, but I have to go!"

"Wait a minute," she stops him, "Kyoko made your lunch." She gives him the bento.

"Thank you. Oh...then where's nee-san?"

"She should be at school right now."

At Sohoku, the other third-years were coming out of the clubroom.

"Today's the day, huh?"

"Let's hope we didn't miss much, sho."

"...Hm?" Just then, Kinjou notices the black vehicle coming up the slope. The others follow his lead.

"You think that's Imaizumi?"

"Could be," Makishima thought, "who else would have a butler drive up here?" When the car came to a stop by the rear gate, one of the backseat doors opened. They didn't expect it to be none other than Kyoko, carrying Kazuki.

"Onoda-kun?"

The girl went to the driver's window as it rolled down, revealing the driver.

"Thanks for the ride, Takami-san." It was her former manager.

"It was my pleasure. I'll come back when you're done with school."

"Okay. Say bye, Kazuki." The toddler waves as Takami rides back down the slope.

"Kyo-chan."

"Ah, Maki-niisan. Good morning, everyone." She bows to them.

"Since when did you start calling her that," Tadakoro asks Makishima.

"She thought it was cute and easy to pronounce. Plus, she already calls me like an older brother." Kyoko chuckles.

"So, why did you bring Kazuki?"

"Mom's meeting some friends and won't be back till 9. I'm hoping the teacher will let Kazuki stay with me until school is over."

"I see."

"Good morning~!" Tsumiki greets them.

"Good morning, Tsumiki." However, Kyoko's face went pale after Tsumiki gives a smug grin.

"...W-what?"

"Are we gonna talk about the elephant in the room?" Hearing that made Kyoko's face burn.

"What are you two talking about," Tadakoro asks.

"Oh, we're just--mph!" Using her free hand, Kyoko shuts her mouth from going any further.
