Dear Jean,

I know you are probably shocked by this but I can't do it anymore. You're not there for me, which is something I really need. I'm sorry but this just isn't working out, I think we need to break up. A letter is a pretty crappy way to break up, I know, but I can't say this to your face. So please, don't hate me. I'll be back for my things later.
-(Name).

Crumpling the letter and sparkling engagement ring in his hand Jean feels cold inside. Was this really happening to him? He had given this woman everything and yet she was willing to break the engagement off over a fucking letter? Tossing the crap onto the floor he slams his foot down on it, grinding the offending items into the ground. He didn't even know what he was feeling but he knew one thing, he had to get out of there.

Going into his room Jean grabs up the nearest duffel bag, stuffing in only his most important possessions. Grabbing up his keys, wallet, and phone he walks out of his apartment, stopping only long enough to take off his apartment key and drop it on the mat in front of the door.

Getting into his car he starts it up and just drives.

Natalie sighs as she comes into the hospital to start her shift. Clocking in she heads toward the ER trauma unit. She had begun working at St. Maria's Hospital close to a year ago as one of many physical therapists. She'd handled everything from war injuries all the way to automobile accidents. She was good at her job and she did her best to get every patient back on their feet, if it was possible.

However she never expected to come into work to see one of the worst recipients of an automobile accident in her career. All around doctors were zipping around hooking him up to vitals, staunching bleeding, and trying to get a heartbeat to register.

Natalie's heart pumps faster as she looks at the poor soul on the gurney. His blonde and brown hair was matted with blood. Bits of glass are embedded into his skin all over his body. His clothes are practically torn to shreds and protruding from one leg is a large shard of twisted metal. One of his arms was twisted at an angle that could only conclude to it being broken and on his chest was one of the largest, bloodiest gashes Natalie had ever seen.  The poor man, would he even survive?

"Baetz get over here and help!" One of Natalie's supervisors yells.

Snapping out of her trance Natalie hurries over to them, not sure what she should do. Despite being trained in the medical field physical rehabilitation was her specialty. One of the doctors hands her a light, "See if you can get him to consciousness." He orders.

"R-right." Natalie goes around and clicks on the flashlight, "H-hey mister are you awake?" She starts to pull up one eyelid to check his eye and then the other one, nothing.

"We have a beat!" Another doctor pronounces.

All at once there's a mad flurry and the man is wheeled out of the room into a room to get prepped for immediate surgery. Natalie is left in the hallway holding a flashlight, looking confused.

"We don't know if he's going to even be able to survive this."

That's the first thing Jean registers as he comes back to the world. For a moment he's confused on where the hell his is. The last thing he could remember was that horrid letter and then, nothing. However he could conclude by the smell that he was probably in a hospital. Opening his eyes he lets out a groan.

"He's awake!" There's the sound of scrambling and the first thing Jean sees is a nurse. "Hi there, my name is Natalie, do you know where you are or your name?"
