27 | Emotions Running Wild

A/N: Okay, first Fangs doesn't get enough attention in the show, then he does and they kill him. -_-

Sweet Pea 'accidentally' told Fangs that I'm a Serpent, Sweet Pea thought I had told Fangs, so he had asked about it.

Imagine the rage Fangs felt towards me when Sweet Pea blurted out; "So, your girlfriend's a Serpent huh? Is she gonna do the Serpent dance?"

That's how we ended up in his trailer, fighting about this. "Leave! Get out, Maia!" Fangs finally yelled. I froze in place and stopped shouting.

"Are you breaking up with me?" I ask with tears in my eyes. He can't, I need him.

"Yes—No, I don't know, Maia! I need time!" Fangs says and grips his hair in frustration.

That's when the tears rolled like a waterfall—but, I nod and slowly walk out of his trailer. I hear him punch something and I wince at the sound of something breaking.

Then my phone starts ringing. I pull it out and dry my eyes and try to breathe properly.

"H-Hello?" I say in a shaky voice.

"Honey—listen to me, I don't have much time, but whatever you do—do NOT come home! Stay away from the house! Stay over at a friends house or your boyfriend—don't text me where you are—just do as I say and don't come home, please" My mom begs and I raise an eyebrow confused and wipe my eyes.

"What? Why? Mom I need you right now" I say and more tears fall.

"Honey—I'm sorry, but it's for your own safety. I need to know you're safe—get safe and wait for me to call you and let you know when it's over, until then—stay away" She says and then the line goes dead.

I look at my phone in shock and put my hand over my mouth and try to stop the sobs from erupting.

I look back at Fangs trailer before moving towards my car, as I get in, a sit there for a few seconds, I see Sweet Pea come out of his trailer and he raises an eyebrow at me.

He sees me wipe my eyes and he looks down guiltily, knowing that what he had done had caused serious damage to both Fangs and I.

He takes a few steps towards my car, but before he could do anything, I turn on the engine and race away.

Who do I go to? Veronica? Betty? Cheryl?

I decide for Veronica and drive towards her building. I call her phone as I get in the lobby.

"V, are you home?" I ask as she picks up.

"Yeah, I'm home, why? M, Are you crying?" Veronica asks worried.

"I'm in the lobby, I need you, please" I beg and more tears fall.

"I'm coming—hold on" Veronica says and hang up. I wait for a few minutes and Veronica comes out of the elevator and as she sees me she runs over.

"What's going on?" She asks while bringing me into a hug.

I can't talk yet, so I just cry out on her shoulder, I didn't even notice that she pulled me into the elevator until we went up.

Hours later I've told Veronica everything I could—I showed her my tattoo and she didn't judge me, she didn't hate me because of it.

I got even sadder as I realised I might have lost Fangs for real, I kept something important from him and he had to find out from someone else, I can't imagine how hurt he must feel.
