Chapter 4 Tomorrow

(Liv's POV)

I took the envelope from my aunts hands and held it

I looked around the room to find everyone watching me with hopeful eyes

Slowly, I opened it and took the letter out

'Dear Miss Dov,
We are happy to inform you that you have been excepted to our esteemed school. We do ask that you get a check up before you come in and start your classes on Monday. We hope that you appreciate this scholarship that we are giving you

I read it to myself, over and over again

I looked up to find my friends and family, all looking at me

"I got in" I yelled, throwing my arms up in the air

Everyone cheered and laughed, congratulating me

"Wait, wait, that's not it. They also said that I have to get a check up, to make sure that I'm in good health" I said to them

"Alright, let go make the appointment now, so you can go to the hospital tomorrow" My aunt told me, smiling at me

I nodded my head and walked over to her

"Thank you so much for this opportunity" I smiled at her, wrapping my arms around her

"Honey, why are you thanking me, I didn't do any of this. I'm not the one that would stay up all night studying to be able to pass a test to get into that school. It was all you" she said, pulling my hair, behind my ear

I laughed and nodded

"Oh my precious girl, your parents would be so proud of you. I know I am" she said, kissing my cheek

"Olivia" I heard someone call out

I turned around to find my uncle looking at me

"Con-congratulations" he slurred, obviously drunk

"Thanks" I said, mostly to myself

"Now, we celebrate" he said, tripping over the coffee table and nearly falling on the floor

I shook my head and turned to look in my aunt

"Come on" she said, once she had walked over to him and helped him up

"L-let go of m-me" he said, pushing her away

My aunt fell down, hitting her head on the counter

"Aunt Tania" I called out, running to her side

There was a cut on her forehead, where blood was dripping down

"Look what you did" I yelled at my uncle

He grunted and tried to get back up on his feet

I shook my head and helped him onto his feet

"Leave" I said to him

He stumbled back and then forwards again, still looking at me

"Go!" I yelled, louder, pushing him away from me an out the door

Without saying anything, he sat on the floor, looking up at me

I shook my head and shut the door behind me

The only ones left in the house were my aunt and Shepley

Shepley was kneeling down on the floor, looking at her cut, disinfecting it

"Don't worry Liv, Tania will be fine" Shepley told me, looking up at me

"Thank you Shep" I said to him, looking on my aunt and taking her hand in mine

"Really it's okay honey, don't worry about me" she told me

I sighed loudly

"Olivia, don't let your uncle ruin this moment for you. Go make your appointment so that you can go get your check up tomorrow" she told me, rubbing her thumb over my hand

I looked down at her and sighed, giving into her pleading eyes

"Okay" I said, kissed her cheek and got up to use the phone

I got on the phone and made my appointment to go to the hospital at 12:30 tomorrow

"This is so exiting" I told Shepley

"It should be, this is amazing" he told me

"Yeah, it is, it feels like it's all been just a beautiful dream" I smiled at him

By now everyone had left

My aunt had gone to work and my uncle had gone to sleep

"You want me to go with you tomorrow?" He asked "for the appointment I mean"

"No, it's alright, you have work" I said

"Olivia" he said sternly

"Shepley"

"Fine" he sighed

I giggled and laid my head on his shoulder

Tomorrow, tomorrow my whole life was going to change
