In which Y/N is usually never one to spit and Harry can't stop laughing

Harry has no idea where he could have went wrong.

The night was going swell, it started out light with couple beers here and there, just him and the guys having a good chat. Mitch had suggested they go to one of his favorite pubs in London and have a lads night out, to watch the big game happening later. Harry wasn't picky, would have settled for anything really, just wanted to get out of the house for a while. He was sure some fresh air and a conversation would do him well, and it really did, he was already feeling light and bubbly. Could have also been from how much of a lightweight he is when it comes to drinking beer, but he chose to ignore the burning sensation in his cheeks and the bitter taste in the back of his throat, just wanted to have a good time.

He opened his phone for a brief second in order to show Adam this funny picture he took of his mum's cat the other day when visiting, because he knew he was quite the cat lover himself. When scrolling through his photos though, something must have caught Jeff's attention, because all of a sudden he leaned in and said, "Oi, what's that?" to which Harry frowned and went back to see what he was talking about. Jeff pinched the image to zoom it in and let out a chuckle, which caused the other guys to take a look as well, "Such a softie, Styles."

Harry shoved him away, closing his phone and smiling down at the table. He didn't have lots of pictures in his phone, the ones he had were either of random stuff he needed to remember for later like shopping lists or the back of a box of cereal so he could count his calories later, couple ones of his friends and others of things like sunsets and flowers; but if there's one person Harry knew he needed to have more pictures of in his phone, it's Y/N.

He had a neat and nicely organized album, titled simply with her name. It wasn't big, there were maybe around twenty pictures in there, but he cherished them most. Would always take a quick look in there when he was feeling a bit out of it or needed something to remind him of home - he could always find home in her eyes. Something no one besides him knew, not even her, is that right underneath his phone case he had hidden this small polaroid of them, taken that one of the few times she got the chance of visiting him on tour. It's a picture Lou snapped of them when they weren't even aware, sitting on the ground backstage with their legs in a tangle and noses brushing, the dorkiest of smiles on both of their faces. He really wishes she could visit more often.

He leaned his chin in the palm of his hand and unlocked back his phone, eyes landing on the picture once more. He took it just a couple days prior, when he was getting ready to head out into town and she couldn't tag along because she had class in about an hour. Tugged on his shirt for almost five minutes straight, trying to coax him into coming back to bed with pouty lips and soft whines. He just could not stop himself from pulling his phone out of his pocket and snapping a quick picture of her in the sleepy state she was in, holding his arm tight to her chest and leaning her head on his thigh, eyes shut and fingers wrapped around his elbow. Looked like a true angel, all peaceful and clinging onto him, he just had to do it, wanted to have something to remind him of that moment.

Biting on his lip, he scrolled over the next few pictures, deleting some screen shots of texts and rolling his eyes at the one Gemma took when she stole his phone, crossing her eyes and sticking her tongue out. He exhaled softly when he landed on the one of her holding his mum's cat in her arms, the largest of smiles on her face as the kitten's paw rested against her cheek. God she was precious.

"How's she by the way?" Jeff asked after a while, taking a swig from his beer. "All good with you two?"

"It's-" Harry held his breath for a moment contemplating his answer- "yeah, it's good, really good actually." He nodded his head with a smile. "She's got this big presentation next week so she's just been studying constantly. Left her for the night so she could get some time to work on it alone."
