"Hey, let's go bug hunting!" The eldest proclaimed his idea a wide grin on his round face.

Jyushimatsu's face seemed to brighten considerably at the idea. "Yeah! I'll catch the biggest!"

"E-Eh, bugs...?"

That timid voice belonged to the second eldest of the rowdy sextuplets. Unlike his loud and boisterous brother, he was much quieter. Karamatsu looked unsure at his older brother's enthusiastic suggestion.

"What? Don't tell me you're scared of bugs? Hahaha!"

Karamatsu pressed his lips together, looking to the side. The mocking tone of Osomatsu reached even the rest of the brothers, and they soon joined in on the taunting, even Todomatsu who seemed against the idea of bugs.

"Hey! Don't make fun of him." You pouted, standing in front of Karamatsu.

Being a friend of the sextuplets, you were used to their usual high energy, but you couldn't just let them be mean, to their own brother no less! Plus, you had always been closest to Karamatsu. He was your best friend out of all of them.

"Ehh, you're taking his side again? Boring."  Osomatsu complained, but looked disinterested in the topic. "Well whatever, we'll see you at dinner."

The rest of the brothers nodded with a loud and cheery 'bye', all yelling in unison as they raced each other. Karamatsu looked at his feet.

"Jeez. Well, what do you want to do?" You asked. Despite the miniature argument being resolved, he still looked upset.

"... You don't have to hang out with me." He finally said, his tone dejected.

You frowned, and tried to give him a serious glare as much as a little girl like you could manage. "Hey, when did I ever say that?! You're my best friend!"

"Huh? Well..." He looked lost in terms of how to reply. You continued to stare at him before you eventually couldn't hold back your giggles.

"It's okay, I'm not really mad. But you should be nicer to yourself!" You told him with a smile, and to your delight it caused him to mirror it with his own.

"O-Okay, I will!" He said. You beamed.

"Then do you promise? Promise me!" You pressed, hurriedly shoving your hand in his face with your pinky finger outstretched.

He quickly hooked it with his own, looking comically determined. "I will, I promise!"

You sighed wistfully at the memories, looking out of the window. That was years ago, but you still thought of it a lot. How could you not? Those rowdy sextuplets were unforgettable, and your dearest friends... Before you moved.

You remembered being unable to keep your tears back, and going through a vary of emotions. You started off mad at your parents for their decision to move, then bargained with them, saying you'd never forget to do your homework and you'd do chores. All those feelings of anger and desperation quickly changed to sadness however as the day came much quicker than you had anticipated.

They all tried not to look upset, but it was obvious by their tearful eyes and trembling lips. Eventually one sniffled, and it caused a chain reaction. Soon enough the six of them began to cry, prompting the tears that you were holding back to run down your cheeks at an alarming rate as you sobbed.

Once you had all somehow calmed, they gave their proper goodbyes. In the middle of it Choromatsu and Osomatsu began butting heads once again, but seeing it just made you laugh, making them surprised. Even their constant bickering was something you'd miss.
