Guess whos back and perhaps not better?
The brush danced on paper with every stroke that (y/n) made. She was sitting down on the ground with a small notepad on her lap. Occassionally admiring the beautiful view in front of her as she glanced from landscape to paper.
"Excuse me, could I take a picture of you painting? You're just so talented." An old lady said as she stopped her stroll to where the young girl was sitting.
(Y/n) smiled. Even though many have told her this, she still felt the same everytime someone walked by and stopped to take pictures or admire her artwork. "Of course! Thank you so much."
The lady smiled. "No problem. Oh, and congratulations on you and your talent."
"Thank you, you're so sweet." (Y/n) dipped her head down a little and continued on painting.
(Y/n) couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. She looked around and spot a young man in his twenties-probably around the same age as (y/n)- with messy black hair smiling at her. Naturally, she smiled back. The man got up from the park bench he was sitting on and walked over to (y/n).
He smiled slightly as he sat down beside her. "Sorry if I'm a little creepy, but I think you're so amazing. I've been watching you paint that piece and I'm in awe." (Y/n) started to draw again as the man spoke. "As an aspiring artist, I think the fact that you have the guts to sit down and immediately start to paint is so cool. I could never do it."
It was one of the amazing things about art. It was like an universal language that connected everyone, like (y/n) and...
"I'm Akaashi Keiji, by the way. Nice to meet you."
Like (y/n) and Akaashi.
"I'm (l/n) (y/n). Likewise."
Akaashi started to blush a little bit. "If you don't mind, could you perhaps show me some of your other work?"
"Sure." (Y/n) flipped some pages and started to explain one of the paintings. "This one was when I visited Hawaii with my family. It's not my best work but this one holds nice memories."
"Oh, here's one that I'm pretty proud of." (Y/n) continued to talk as she showed Akaashi a painting of an empty volleyball court. "It was after a volleyball game in my old high school, Karasuno. I went to visit them after I heard that the team I used to manage became a powerhouse again."
"That's interesting. I played against Karasuno once a few years back. They were really good." The ravenette told (y/n).
(Y/n) smiled. "I'm glad to hear the team is doing okay, even if they're different players. They're so precious to me."
"I know what you mean. I met my current joke of a best friend through volleyball."
(Y/n) laughed at that.
"These are really good." Continued Akaashi, impressed. "You should enroll in an art school. I'm actually starting in one this fall."
"Really? I was actually thinking about it, but I never felt that I was good enough."
"I, um, can help you with the registration process, if you'd like." Akaashi offered.
"You know what? That does sound like the extra push I need. If you have the time to spare, then I'd be grateful." (Y/n) answered, obviously happy.
"Awesome. Karasuno Coffee (ANYONE?) this Saturday?"
"That'd be great."
"I'll leave you to your drawings, then. See you soon." The man got up and waved goodbye, leaving (y/n) alone to work on her painting.
That piece turned out to be her best work yet.
