The weather sent a chill down your spine, making you tighten your jacket around your body. A hand rested on your lower back. You looked, finding Harry smiling and leading you into Tyler's car. You sat in the back, offering the front seat to Harry. Harry sat in the front with his brother who drove, allowing your space in the backseat. Your head leaned against the cold window, staring at the full moon hidden behind a wisp of clouds.

Tyler asked you as he drove, "Am I picking Ruth up?"

You shook your head, "She said she's getting a ride, but she didn't mention from who."

"How'd you convince her to come anyway?" Harry asked, his finger playing with his bottom lip.

"A lot of persuasion." You chuckled, but it died down quickly.

Tyler noticed the sudden change of mood and asked, "What made you lash out on her?"

You, is what you wanted to say, but you bit your tongue. You kept a low voice, "It was about something important to me. She insulted it, and I yelled." Ruth called Tyler a criminal, making you yell at her in his defense. You didn't know why you yelled, it just happened.

After the car was parked, and the twins led the way into the club--Tyler was easily welcomed due to his history with the security guard--you all walked in. You jumped at the sight of flashing white lights, loud music, and people crowding the area with fast movement. You clenched onto the figure beside you. You looked up, finding yourself on Tyler's arm. He didn't seem bothered by any of it at all. He was trying to look over people's heads, as if he were looking for something or someone.

You rose a brow, thinking he was meeting someone...someone like another lover--you blinked a few times, kicking you out of your jealously.

Tyler grinned, "There's the bar!" He was like a little kid who found candy.

Tyler grabbed onto your hand, leading past the crowd. You tried really hard not to let go, afraid you'll get sucked into the large crowd. You hoped Harry was following, or at least was fine with being by himself.

Finally you and Tyler were in front of the bar, he rose a hand as if to signal the bartender who gave Tyler his full attention. Tyler ordered two drinks, one for you and him. You kept your eyes on your surroundings, hoping to spot Ruth or Harry. You searched carefully, and as if it were meant to be, Ruth was by a small table. She looked unhappy, stirring her drink all alone. Her red lipstick and dark black dress made her look amazing, it was weird to you that she was all alone.

You looked at Tyler and leaned in so he could hear you over the loud music, "Hey, I'm going to go with Ruth."

He looked to where Ruth was and nodded to you, "Okay, I'm going to find Harry." He chugged his drink, "Be safe babe."

You walked over to Ruth who hadn't spotted you until you approached her. She looked at you, as if she were surprised to see you. You were confused, you invited her. You shrugged it off, "Hey Ruth, I've been wanting to talk to you--"

"Please go away." She said. Usually, she would have attitude and spunk, but her voice was cracked and her eyes dimmed with worry.

You looked at her, "Are you okay?"

Ruth looked at you but before she could speak, another figure bumped into you. You turned and found her boyfriend, Adam. Adam was the boyfriend she was known for. He was loud, obnoxious, and abusive. He wouldn't hit her, but he'd break her down verbally. Every time you see them together, you wonder why she stuck around.

Adam scanned you, "(Y/N)." His voice made you uncomfortable, especially with the way he said it.

You shifted uncomfortably, "Adam..."
