Yule- 21st of December
The shortest day with the longest night, the sun shall slowly rise higher and higher. It's the celebration of light, rebirth/renewal, and transformation.Element: Earth
Colors: red, green, gold, white, silver, yellow, and orange
Flowers, plants and trees: Ash, thistle, evergreen, cedar, frankincense, Holly, ivy, juniper, mos, mistletoe, oak, pine tree, sandalwood, yew, yellow cypress, for, comfrey, elder, apple tree, birch, chestnut, and myrrh
Food and drinks: Laurel, chamomile, rosemary, cinnamon, clove, dried apples, turkey, spiced wine, cranberries, eggnog, pork, cider, ginger, hibiscus tea, lamb, peppermint, venison, and yule-log
Decorations: wreaths, lights, stars, candles, fire, snowflakes, and bells
Crystals and metals: gold, silver, bloodstone, quartz, diamond, emerald, garnet, ruby, chrysoberyl, and blue topaz
Animals: bear, stag, squirrel, moose, pig, tiger, eagle, wolf, kingfisher, lapwing, owl, robin, snow goose, wren, hawk, and boar
Activities: cleansing, making plans and looking forward to the year ahead, caroling, decorating a (Christmas) tree, burning candles, making fires, divination, and having a feast
Okie guys, I haven't celebrated Yule on the day in a while. I usually celebrate Yule on Christmas because it's easier for me to include my family judgement free! As long as you have a heart full of love and warmth that's all that matters. Sidenote, my way I practice Wicca is on the very edge that determines Wicca from Paganism. But this is just the way I enjoy myself. I hope everyone has a Blessed Yule and a merry Christmas!
