"Who dares enter here?" A deep voice called out, and echoed everywhere. I didn't answer, I faced forward and kept walking.
"Perhaps you don't understand...." I heard the same voice say, but quieter. From the shadows a figure came out, it was a Stalfos, but had armor different from any I had seen before.
"I am a Sheikah, my people were banished, and now I seek to return." I said in an even tone. The guard looked at me for a moment longer before speaking, "And what is it that you wish to do?"
"Whatever I need to get my revenge." I said through clenched teeth. The Stalfos lead me into the ruins of the castle, but above those ruins a black building hovered. Their were many beast around. All preparing for Ganondorfs biding. I was lead up flights of stairs, up into the top of a tower. The guard left me at a set of large doors.
I sighed, and looked up at the doors, Ganondorf was behind them. The man who killed my father, my friends, who wanted to destroy everything that I love in this world. I must face him, and I must obey him. I opened the doors and silently walked in. I stood in the center of the room and looked at him. His back was turned, I saw his hair and his cloak. he didn't turn around to speak, "Who enters my presence?" He asked, in that hateful voice of his.
"I am a Sheikah, my people were banished and I seek to aid you in the ruin of those who so corruptly oppressed my people.
"You wish to use me, my minions, to get revenge over your petty affairs?" he asked, almost sarcastically.
"I hate Hyrule and all that it is, I wish to part take in its devastation." I said without emotion in my voice.
"You are very foolish to think that hate is the way to gain my trust," he laughed as he turned to look at me. "No, you must first be tested, loyalty to me, that is what will gain you a place here, your purpose is to serve me, not the petty revenge of yours." He said darkly. He was quite tall, his skin was dark from tan, his eyes were yellow and his hair was red. He was frightening to look at, but I couldn't let any fear or doubt show.
"How may I prove myself?" I asked him. He stared blankly for a moment, before a grin came to his face.
"Return tomorrow, and I will tell you what you are to do, I must ready things." he said as he walked away, yelling for and at various people and monsters. I left the room and wandered around the "castle" hoping to find a library of sorts, to perhaps find something to translate the scroll I found in the Shadow Temple. I came to a dark room, with books and scrolls laid out. I looked over each, but they offered no useful information.
I sighed as I placed the last scroll down and left the room. Across the door from me was a mirror, and in it I saw my reflection. My dark, tight fitting suit, with a cloak over my shoulders, my hair wrapped up, and the lower half of my face covered. I looked the part of a Sheikah.
As I walked down the hall, I heard and eerie laughter which echoed. "Who's there?" I asked. I heard the laughter again, like an old woman.
"You seek knowledge?" The voice said.
"Yes." I answered. Out of no where an old woman appeared. She was ancient, and was a Gerudo. Her skin was dark and wrinkly, she had a large nose and was hunched over. I was guessing that she was some sort of witch. "What is it that you seek?" She asked me.
"The answer to a question about my people and their history, and also, who you are." I stated plainly.
"I am Kotake, kin of Master Ganondorf himself, quite closely related actually...." She trailed off as she spoke, before she looked back to me, "And you?"
"I am Shiek, last of the Sheikah." I said with a bow.
"What about 'Lady Impa' As she was called?"
"Impa betrayed all true Shiekah, and I have heard word of her death." I spoke, even though I knew it was a lie. I fought to keep my breath even and calm as I spoke, and my heart from racing. If I was caught lying here, this would all have been for nothing. Kotake looked at me, it felt like she saw right through me, but sighed and spoke. "If you can past your trials perhaps you will find your answers." She said, then disappeared from sight.
I was left alone in the dark hall. I went farther down until an idea came to mind, the temple. The Temple of Time, Link was last seen there. I crept out of the castle and made my way towards, hoping that it's old glory still remanded, I needed just one part of the old Hyrule. One last piece of the home I lost.
