After that he walked to stand beside the other three who looked close to laughing at everyone else's expressions. With that it was the results that came in Hadrian and Cedric tied for first while Viktor and Fleur tied for second only having a little trouble with their dragons. After that they all left to their rooms and Hadrian decided that he will go for a nap as it had been a long day.

Now

The next few days were peaceful and relaxing for Hadrian. He was currently laying on his bed when the other three boys entered the dorm. The day before McGonagall had dispelled the spell over the boys' dorm much to the other boys' dismay. After a few minutes, Ronald entered and walked over to Hadrian and said: "well aren't you gonna open it because if you're not then I am."

Hadrian rolled his eyes and said "go ahead" Ron opened the egg and screeching was heard through the entire Dormitory and into the Common room. Where all the occupants held their ears in pain. Hadrian looked at Ron with unamused eyes as he closed the egg and said "open it again I was listening to my clue idiot" Ron looked at him like he had grown a second head and said "are you crazy it will make me go deaf. It will make my ears bleed and I will probably die of blood loss" after that he placed the egg near Hadrian and ran out of the dorm and common room towards the great hell.

Hadrian snorted and said "that's the point idiot," he said as he went to pick up the egg and open it three sets of hands stopped him. He looked up to see the grimacing faces of Dean, Neville and Seamus and said: "why did you stop me?" Seamus looked at Harry and said "I don't know what you're hearing but all we can hear is deafening screeches" the other boys nodding in response. Hadrian's eyes widened as he was up immediately and he walked over to his pile of care of magical creatures and defence against the dark arts books and started sorting through them. The other boys just watched as he looked through the books when he shouted "FOUND IT"

Hadrian stood up and flipped through the pages of the book and showed the boys. When they looked at it they saw the names of the creatures and their eyes widened and Neville squeaked out "mermaids" Hadrian nodded and said "that's why I can understand it even though it isn't in water one of my powers that I got in my inheritance was that I could understand what any creature be it magical or muggle was saying even if they were not in their wanted environment" the other boys looked at Hadrian incredulously and he said "one minute" before grabbing his wand off of his bedside table and flipping through the books and pointed his wand at the boys and said a spell that the boys were unfamiliar with.

After the spell was finished they saw Hadrian grab the egg and open it. They immediately covered their ears but when they didn't hear deafening shrieks but a soft melodious voice they looked up and uncovered their ears and heard

Come seek us where our voices sound
We cannot sing above the ground

And while you searching ponder this
We've taken what you'll surely miss

An hour-long you'll have to look
To recover what we took

But past an hour - the prospect's black
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back

Hadrian looked out of the window and his eyes sparkled with realisation and he closed the egg and the three other boys looked at him and said: "how the hell did that not sound like shrieking?" Hadrian waved his hands and said "the spell let you hear what I could for the designated object that was in my mind at the time of the spell.
