Alexandria's PoV
"Oh dear sister, I was beginning to get worried for your safety," I said in a tone of fake sadness. "It had began to appear as if they had lock you up or something."
Isabelle was busy on her phone as she just ignored the two of us completely, making my plans of her joining a little quarrel fly disappear.
"Shut up with that fake shit sis. Everyone knows that nothing can prevent my happy dance once everything is where it it supposed to be."
While saying that, she just fell face first into the couch with her legs landing on my laps. Looking at her still form, I roughly shoved her legs off of me.
A few curse words later, she began rolling around on the floor while pretending to be making a snow angel. If only she was an actual angel, but in reality, she is the opposite of everything that an angel is supposed to be.
Sighing, I stood up and made my way to my bedroom suddenly wanting nothing more than to be in the comforts of my bed. Tomorrow will definitely be a busy day for me and I am going to be needing a lot of energy.
Tossing my shirt over my head and wiggling out of my pants, I dived under the covers with thoughts swirling around in my head.
For some reason, Zian just kept popping up in my mind. I wanted to punch a wall because I know this was wrong. I am going to be meeting who might be my future husband and yet here I was thinking about another man.
I know I am crazy but I didn't know that I could go up another level. Here I am thinking I was on the highest one, but turns out I hadn't reached the top just yet.
Taking in a deep breath, I closed my eyes and allowed all my worries to disappear. It wasn't long before I was welcomed by comfortable silence and the long awaited darkness.
"Get your ass up Andria and go get dressed or else you will be late to the meeting!" My mother's voice rang in my ears before I felt a tingling sensation on my left cheek. Not wanting another slap, I shot out of the bed and straight into the bathroom.
After a few minutes of just standing in the shower and trying to get the sleep out of my system, I finally turned on the faucet and took a freezing shower. The icy water running down my back woke every inch of my body in less than one second.
When I was done with that wonderful shower, I hurriedly got dressed into a tight red dress which fit me like a second skin. It exposed my back and a good amount of cleavage, but I was in a rush so there was no time to care about that.
I don't often do my make up, but I did a simple look before curling the ends of my hair. Satisfied with my look, I put on some heels and rushed out the door to see my mother just about to leave in her car.
Not wanting to drive, I rushed into her car and slammed the door shut. As soon as it clicked, the string of curse words came flying out her mouth and so did her hand, but luckily I managed to dodge it in time.
"You're lucky that you need to be there on time or else I would have left you behind," she said, pressing on the gas pedal. "Next time, I won't be waiting on your lazy ass and just leave without you."
Ignoring her, I focused my attention elsewhere as my mother sped down the streets and passing nearly all red lights. Such an awesome role model if I have to say so myself, then again, I learnt almost everything I know from her.
After sometime, we had arrived at the my father's building where everyone else was already waiting for my mother and I. I wasn't sure if I was sick, but I didn't really want to enter but there was no backing out.
"Are you coming or should I drag you?" My mother asked as she began making her way towards the entrance. Her hands on her hips as she tapped her feet impatiently on the concrete.
"I'm coming," I said, as I made my way towards her and we entered the building together. There was no going back now, unless I wanted my father to announce my death for giving a bad first impression as his daughter.
Taking in a deep breath, we headed to the meeting room together.
