Hours turned to days and days turned to weeks . Talon was becoming more and more efficient by the days . Not like it never did ever since Scorpion took lead . Everyday was the same day at Overwatch , wake up , eat , sometimes train , eat , have another meeting on Talon's status and sleep . Scientists tried their hardest to figure out a way to return Y/n's memories . Not even Winston , the scientist that cured Lena's chronal dissacociation could find a way how . Almost everyone was stuck , they lost a soldier who turned out to be the new leader of Talon .
Lena would think of different alternate situations if she had made the right choices . It felt as if she made the wrong choices in a game and the outcome happened in the way she didn't wanted . But this isn't Life Is Strange , where she could turn back time and change her course of actions . Sure , Lena could turn back time but not that far . Ever since the encouter with Y/n , Lena felt dull inside . She just wished Y/n was there with her , holding her .
All the agents felt the same but not as much as Lena . Everyone who once acted happy , even Lucio , went dull . Y/n wasn't the most funniest person , but her company sure did keep a smile on everyones faces . Winston and Athena were in the lab , working , inspecting , doing anything they can to find a cure to Y/n's problem . Winston groaned as he leaned backwards . "Don't give up Winston . We still have a chance." Athena said . "But its so complex . How can someone make something so twisted that it stops the brain from registering memories?" Winston says frustrated .
Clue after clue , nothing lined up . All of the clues , just loose threads that have no matching to them . "Wait , maybe we can find out who made them." Athena suggested and Winston perked up . "Yes ! Then we can get some info . I'm going to call in the agents." Winston says . "Thanks Athena." he thanks the computer . "No problem , Winston." Athena said . Winston immediately called all thr agents to share his , well Athena's , idea .
Everyone entered and sat quitely . No one engaging in any conversations . Especially Lena .
Winston coughed to get their attention and smiled . "So , for once I have exciting news." Winston started off . "We have a way of finding out how to bring back the real Y/n." Winston smiled and everyone snapped their heads to the scientist . All of them were asking multiple questions at once but Winston calmed them down . "Okay , so I suspect someone in Talon made the device that somehow shut her memories down and if they didn't , they must have files . I am sending Tracer , Genji and Lucio . The three of you will go and infiltrate the base . Don't get caught as we all know Talon is much more dangerous . If you come across anyone , get some answers from if you can't find anything . You will be deployed tomorrow so be ready . Thats is all." Winston said .
When the meeting ended , everyone left talking about the new found hope . Lena though was to shocked to say a word . She slowly made her way back to her dorm room , smiling slightly . Maybe I can get her back Lena thought , happy . Happy she might have a chance to return Y/n's memories . Lena only hopes that Y/n can forgive her . She entered her room and laid flat on her couch , exhausted . Her phone was buzzing like crazy and it was texts or voicemails from Emily . She left me , now she wants to get back Lena scoffed internally .
Lena swiped the notifications to the side and silenced her phone . She was alone with her thoughts . Clouding her mind . Y/n . Her smile , her eyes , her features , all distant memories she treasured . Lena stood up and walked around her room , stopping at a certain picture with her and Y/n in it . It was their very first date . A picture of Y/n holding Lena close , watching the sunrise on a cliff . Y/n had planned it out and it was absolutely perfect to the girl . Lena felt tears brim in her eyes but she didn't let them fall .
She needed to stop crying . Who was she kidding ? Without Y/n , her tears were flowed down like a waterfall .
Lena knew there was a fifty fifty shot of getting Y/n back . To most people , it was a low chance but hey , everyone needs a little hope . Lena switched on the TV and made herself a cup of tea then sat down on the couch . The news was going on about Talon's increasing threat . Nowadays , Talon didn't necessarily kill unless threatened . Yeah there were kills , but much more less then before . It was as if they decreased their kill count but heightened their efficiency . Not like the old Talon that Doomfist controlled . That man was just brutal . Y/n was stronger , but also much more mature . Less violent , only being a cold hearted assassin when the time called for it .
Lena sighed as the TV showed stolen images of Talon agents stealing things and stuff . Even pictures of the main culprits like Reaper and Widowmaker were there . Even Y/n . Well the media refers to her as Scorpion as they do not her identity but Lena knew . And so did the other Overwatch agents . The pictures of Y/n were just her with her mask on , only revealing her purple eyes . Everytime Lena looked at those eyes , she saw emptiness and pain . They looked so dull . No longer full of determination or assurance . No signs of happiness .
Lena felt at fault . Which she was . She caused this whole fiasco in the first place . But she swore she would return the old Y/n . The one that would assure her team victory . The one that would protect others with her life . The one that was a former Overwatch agent .
The one that was Lena's lover ....
I know its boring but I put a lot of action in the other chapters . But I still will add action so don't worry . See ya !!
