"Why are you moving out?" asked Charlotte sadly looking at her brother Brant with a sad face.
"Because I'm adult and I shouldn't live at home" said Brant he was carrying boxes while Charlotte followed close behind him.
"So what" said Charlotte.
"Charlotte I'm moving in with Brian, Ben and Blaine and you know we always come around"
"I know, but I like having you here. Don't you like living here?"
Brant put down the boxes "Look" he said bending down to her level. "Of course I love living here with you, but I need to be on my own and make my own way. You know what I mean?"
"I guess so" said Charlotte sadly.
He kissed her forehead "I promise I'll come around often."
"Dude, I didn't come over to do all the moving" said Brian coming around the bend with some boxes.
Brant shot him a look "We were having a conversation"
He turned back to Charlotte "Okay?"
She nodded and he kissed her forehead again. "You wanna help?"
"Not really, but I guess I will"
Brant smiled at her "Thank you. Wanna grab a small box from the room?"
"Sure" said Charlotte walking off.
Brant and Brian made their way down the steps.
"What was that all about?"
"She doesn't want me to move out"
"She did that with everyone us of"
"Ya I know. Except I had to deal with it twice. It kills me."
"Almost makes you wanna stay at home?"
"No way" said Brant with a laugh.
Charlotte came down the steps with stuff, Carter was in the kitchen.
"You ready?"
"For what?"
"The ice skating and ginger bread house making at my grandparents we go to every year"
"Charlotte I reminded you this morning about it" said Erin confused.
"Oh I forgot, I guess" said Charlotte.
"Well go get ready, quickly" said Erin.
After packing up, Brant and Brian headed over to the apartment, where they met Ben and Blaine. Who was also moving Blaine in.
"So I think we should all team up this year for the lip singing competition" said Ben, "We haven't done it all together in a few years" (Every Christmas Eve, the family has a lip singing competition).
"I'm down" said Brian.
"I was thinking we should do that too" said Brant.
"Okay, but what song?" asked Blaine.
"I have an idea" said Ben.
"Oh great. Things always end well when you have an idea" said Brian.
Ben shot him a look.
"Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede" said Ben with a smirk.
Brant, Ben and Blaine laughed "That would be hilarious" said Brant.
"I agree with that" said Brian.
They looked towards Blaine "Fine, but I'm the main part"
They rolled their eyes.
"Deal"
Luke, Nol and Ethan were in the kitchen, that night.
"So Ethan wanna team up for the competition?" asked Luke
"I'm already teaming up with Tucker and Toby" said Ethan. (Tucker and Toby were Alex's younger twin brothers, they were a year older than Ethan)
"What are you singing?"
"I'm not telling" said Ethan.
"Fine, Luke what are we gonna do?" asked Nol
"Why do you assume its we? asked Luke
"Because we team up every year" said Nol.
"And every year we come in dead last" said Luke, "I'm teaming up with Ian"
"Then who am I suppose to team up with?" asked Nol.
"I don't know, Charlotte?" asked Luke.
"She is going solo this year" said Ethan
"Man. I definitely gonna lose this year then" said Nol.
"No way" said Ethan picking up a folder he found on the floor.
Luke and Nol looked over at him "What?"
"Charlotte has failed 2 math quizzes and got bad grades on all her homework" said Ethan with a laugh.
Nol went over to him and snatched the folder from his hands. "No way"
"Look" said Ethan.
Luke came up behind him.
"Wow" said Luke, "She really did"
"Since when does she fail?" asked Nol.
"Never, thats why its funny. She is so dead" said Ethan.
They shot him a look "Shut up Ethan!"
"Hey look" said Nol, "All the numbers are right, they are just mixed up"
Luke looked at it closely "You're right. So she is dyslexic? Since when?"
"Good question" said Nol, "I'm gonna go talk to her"
"I'll come" said Luke.
"Ethan don't tell anyone, got it?" said Luke
Ethan rolled his eyes.
"I'll pound you into the ground" said Nol
"Fine" said Ethan.
Nol and Luke went to find Charlotte, she was in library doing homework.
"Hey Charlotte" said Nol walking in.
"Where'd you get that?" asked Charlotte her eyes lighting up and sitting up.
"Ethan found in on the floor in the kitchen" said Nol sitting down next to her.
"You're lucky mom or dad didn't find it" said Luke.
"Wanna tell us why you failing all your math quizzes and homework?" asked Nol.
"I don't know. I know the answers and I write them down and then when I get the work back, its wrong" said Charlotte.
"Well did you talk to your teacher?" asked Luke
Charlotte looked down "No. I was afraid too"
"Why?" asked Nol
"I don't know" said Charlotte shrugging.
"Well first we need to go talk to mom and dad" said Nol.
