Boo struggled against the straps holding her tiny wrists down. She kicked at the monsters with socked feet, trying anything to get away. They just yelled at eachother, one telling the other to start up the scary machine that was in front of the young child.

Boo was scared. The monster from her closet was there. He took her from Kitty and Mike, the only two monsters she trusted. She wanted Kitty now more than anything. He needed to save her.

The machine's long tube powered up, the two monsters smiling. Boo backed away in the seat she was strapped in. Alas, she couldn't get away, and the machine took hold of her lips.

She screamed, just as they wanted her to do. Tears ran from her eyes as she screamed, over and over again, yelling one name.

"Kitty!"

Boo screamed his name. The machine continued to suck in her desperate cries for help. She tried to pull her head back, tried to get away, but she had no escape. Boo scrunched up her toes, gripped the bars of the chair, and pulled away with all of her might.

For being five, Boo was very strong. Just not strong enough.

The purple lizard yelled at the green monster again. He gulped and pushed something up. Boo felt the force of the machine go full power. She cried. It felt like hours. Yet, she continued to cry for Kitty.

Then, it happened.

Boo, weak and drained, didn't have any screams left. Her head lolled to the side, her skin pale. She didn't have that cheery twinkle in her brown eyes. She was basically dead.

The purple one yelled at the other again. Boo strained to look up. She watched him yell. She hated him. Then, an idea came to her.

If he wanted a scream, he'll get a scream.

Boo sat up. She fixed her mouth, took in a deep breath, and shrieked, "KITTY!!"

It was long and loud. The two monsters had to cover their ears. Boo yelled for a good and long minute, then she was completely drained. Her voice cracked and she rested her head on her shoulder.

During her shriek, the machine busted. It fueled the scream tank too much. It over filled with scream, and exploded.

The purple one hit the other, then yelled "Why isn't it working?!"

"I-I think the fuel tank m-might've-"

"Fix it!"

He scrambled over to a bunch of cords and wires. Randal, the purple monster, grumbled, not paying attention to the child, who had now slipped away from her straps. They loosen while she had been sucked of her screams.

Somehow, Boo was full of energy. She hid under the control panel, out of his lurking eyes. One of her ponytail were out, with half of her brown hair hanging. She didn't mind, she was about to make her monster go back in the closet, and never return.

Boo quickly ran past, making sure her feet were heard. Randal looked behind his shoulder, narrowing his already narrowed eyes. His tail flicked to the side as he turned his whole body and disappeared from sight. But Boo wasn't scared. She felt a surge of energy and excitement as he blended into his surroundings. She never felt anything like it, and she loved it.

Boo kept her eyes wide and alert, searching for ripples in the air. She used to watch in her bedroom at home, watch his mistakes as he tried to sneak up on her. He always scared her in the end.

Finally, Randal gave up his search. He became visible again, and walked back to the control panel. By now, he noticed Boo's disappearance. He quickly started to look around.
