Self diagnosis is identifying conditions of yourself instead of going to a doctor, or seeking help. Many people have done this (even on this website), claiming they have a serious medical condition.
If you have done that in the past just to get attention, please know that it isn't fine to do it. I am an easily forgiving person, so don't bash anyone for that. We all make mistakes. The easier solution is to talk to the person in a well-mannered way.
Depression is something many people suffer from. Do not joke about that. Insulting people because they have it makes me angry. Instead of doing that, start helping others.
