"Lanely, you need to eat all of your breakfast. Lunch time isn't until eleven thirty at daycare and you're teachers tell me you complain whenever you're hungry." I tell my daughter as she plays around with her pancakes.
She pouts, laying her head back in her chair. "It's not my fault they make us wait twenty thousands hours to eat lunch."
"You literally only have two more hours until lunch once daycare starts." Dylan pops in our conversation, his fingers fumbling with the tie around his neck. "You're lucky because Daddy's lunch break isn't until two o'clock, basically the time school is over for the older kids."
"I'm a growing child! I need food like every two minutes or else I will die." She exaggerates, throwing her hands in the air.
Dylan and I both laugh at her goofiness. "Well, take a few more bites then get your shoes before you cause Daddy to be late for work."
Lanely munches down three more bites and then she's out of the kitchen to get her shoes, leaving Dylan and I alone. My bare feet shuffle against the cold floor as I make my way over to Dylan, who was still messing around with his black tie.
"Need help, Mr. O'Brien?" I tease, a giggle coming from me.
He nods, letting me take over as he sets his arms to his side in defeat. "These are too complicated for me and I have to wear them pretty much everyday."
Dylan's whiskey brown irises gaze down on me as I put the finishing touches on him, patting his shoulder signaling that I was done. His arms snake around my waist as he sends me a devious smirk, one of his hands on my bum.
"Thank you." He places a quick kiss on my lips.
"No problem," I smile before tugging him down by the tie to press another kiss on his lips. His hands begin to roam all over my backside as the kiss deepens within seconds.
"I'm ready to- yucky!" Lanely's screeching voice says, causing us to pull apart.
My cheeks turn a bright red and I tug away from Dylan's grasp, going over to Lanely. She giggles as I begin to leave sloppy kisses all over her adorable little face.
"Have a good day and behave in daycare. If I hear that you weren't on your best behavior then I won't be getting that Barbie doll that you've been whining about all week." I point my finger at her, my voice changing to a serious tone.
She nods her head multiple times, smiling innocently at me. "I promise, mommy! I love you!"
Not giving me a chance to respond, Lanely runs out the door of our home and into the silver car parked in the driveway. My attention then turns back to Dylan who was holding his arms wide open for me to give him a hug.
"And you mister," I poke his chest, pulling down by the tie again. "Have good day too, but also ignore that Cierra girl who keeps trying to hit on you."
He lightly laughs, "She's my student and you're my wife- big difference there, babygirl."
"I don't care," I give him a peck on the lips. "You're mine and I will fight another girl just to prove that."
