Harry’s POV

I rested my head on my arm, as I curiously watched (Y/N) expertly peel an orange. “My flight leaves tonight,” I reminded her, staring nervously at my feet

“I don’t understand why you have to go,” She was saying. I silently thanked her, when she gave me half.

“It’s not like I want to go,” I replied, sighing heavily.

“Then—,” She began, but a loud crash from somewhere in the house stopped her. “Edward, for the last time take that damn ball outside,” She yelled, then settled into the chair next to me.

She took a deep breath settling her thoughts, before speaking again. “Why don’t you just stay? I mean your family is here. What about Me and Edward?” She asked me, tracing small circles around her coffee mug.

“Being with you and Edward is like being in heaven, even if it’s only for a short period of time,” I replied. “But I have to go back to reality. I have to go see the fans too. They are the ones who pay my bills.”

“I know it’s just so unfair. You spend so much more time with them,” She replied, burying her face in my chest so I wouldn’t see her tears. *GIF*

I gently lifted her chin so that she was looking me right in the eye. “Look, (Y/N),” I said, wiping her tears away. “See that 24k gold ring on your finger. The reason I put that on your finger is to remind you that you are and will always be my golden girl. You have to remember that.”

She nodded her head, and I engulfed her in my embrace. “I’ll be home soon. And the whole time I’m gone I’ll be missing you and Edward,” I whispered, burying my head in the crook of her neck.

“Mommy why are you crying?” Edward said, bringing both of us back to the moment.

(Y/N) pulled away from me, picking up our son and cradling him in her arms. “Daddy is going on a trip,” She sniffled, trying to hid her tears from our son.

Immediately a frown formed on our son’s face. “When will you be back?” He asked, turning towards me.

“A few months,” I began, but before I could even finish tears began streaming down his face.

I took him from (Y/N) arm, attempting to console him. “Don’t cry little man,” I soothed. “When I get back I promise I’ll take you swimming in that cove. You know the one with the waterfall.”

“Really? You promise,” He said, his face lighting up with joy.

“Yeah,” I replied, ignoring (Y/N)’s concerning look. “I promise.”
