Lena's POV
The next night
I angrily wiped away the tear falling down my cheek, as I took a sip of wine.
I sat on the windowsill of my apartment, watching the sky cast itself over the moon.
I haven't spoken to Sev in 24 hours.
I couldn't get the scene out of my mind: Severus, and that woman, alone together.
My blood boiled just thinking about it. Not just the fact that he was with her, but the fact that he didn't really tell her who I was. He brushed me off like he would another student, referring to me as a seventh year.
Was he trying to make that woman think he was available??!
Shut up, Lena. You know Severus would never do something like that.
I sighed.
Sure, Sev would never do that, but she looked strikingly similar to his first love.
Lily Evans-Potter.
He had briefly mentioned her to me when we first started being together, and he was open and honest with me about it.
That didn't make me feel any less like I would be competing with a dead woman's memory.
He assured me he had let her go a long time ago, and I believed him. I trust him implicitly.
I still do...
So, why do I feel like this?
******
An hour or two later
I had just finished my second glass of wine, which had done nothing to make me feel better whatsoever.
I glanced out the window, and saw an owl flying towards it. I undid the latch, and pushed it open, letting the unfamiliar owl perch on the window ledge.
It had a tied note in its beak, and I gripped it in my fingertips, as I took it.
I looked between the owl and the note, furrowing my eyebrows.
I had a feeling I knew who it was from, but I opened it anyway, and started to read:

Please come back to my chambers.
We must discuss this.
I beg you.
-S.S.

I sighed, folding the note back up.
As much as I wanted to deny it, a proper conversation was in order.
I stood up, and in a snap, I apparated.
*******
Hogwarts
I reappeared outside the castle gates, and being one of the few who knew the protection spell, undid it easily, and walked through.
I reactivated the spell as soon as the gates closed behind me.
I walked inside and down the main corridor, that led to the dungeons.
I kept walking until I stood in front of his door.
I took a deep breath, and knocked twice.
The door swung open a second later, and Severus Tobias Snape stood in the doorway.
He moved aside to let me in, and I obliged.
I stood, my arms crossed, in front of the fireplace.
After a few awkward moments of silence, I sucked up my pride, and spoke.
"I'm sorry." I muttered.
Severus looked at me in bewilderment, coming around the couch to stand in front of me, by the fireplace.
"I'm sorry that I accused you of being unfaithful to me. I guess my insecurities got the best of me, and I overreacted. I was jealous, you know...even more considering the fact that she looked exactly like..Lily. I was afraid."
Severus gave me a soft look, and stepped closer, his hands placing themselves gently on my shoulders. He gripped my chin then, forcing me to look him in the eyes.
"My love, I have never known you to be afraid...of what could you possibly be afraid of?"
I felt my eyes filling with tears. "Losing you."
Sev's own eyes slightly filled with tears, and he gave me a small, reassuring smile. "Lena, you will never lose me to another woman. Her resemblance to Lily was a mere coincidence. I would never think of being unfaithful to you. My love for you is strong. Please, trust me."
I smiled softly. "I know, and I do. I was a fool to think otherwise."
Severus smiled, mischief in his eyes. "In fact...my love for you will never falter, and as action to my words..."
I watched as Severus knelt down on one knee, right in front of me.
My hand over my mouth, I gasped in surprise. This time, I couldn't stop the tears that cascaded down my face.
He pulled out a little black box, and opened it up to reveal a breathtaking ring: a black diamond, with a silver diamond band.
"Lena Blackwood, you fiery, stubborn, beautiful woman...if this is how I must prove my love for you, then so be it, however..I wouldn't mind if you said yes...because, it would be an honor to spend the rest of my life with you, as husband and wife. My darling Lena, will you marry me?"
I knelt down as well, a smile wide on my lips, grasping his face in my hands gently.
"I would never say no, Sev. Yes, I would love more than anything to become your wife." I replied.
Severus smiled, a true, genuine smile, as he slid the ring on my ring finger. I giggled, admiring it.
"You always manage to surprise me, Sev. It's beautiful, love."
Severus chuckled. "It fits you well."
"I love you, Severus Snape."
I pulled him to me by his robes, our lips connecting in a fiery desire.
After a few minutes, I pulled back, breathless. I met Sev's gaze.
"Bring me to the bedroom." I purred.
Sev's eyes were burning with passion, and he rose an eyebrow attractively.
"I believe right here will suit our purposes just fine." He spoke, voice husky.
I smirked, raising an eyebrow as well. "Is that so?"
Sev's hand found the back of neck, urging me closer, until our lips were merely inches apart.
Thrill sparked in my veins.
"Indeed."
