The next day Hera wakes up and walks out praying Lexis was not around, after her fit the previous night she had stayed in Shakespeare's room all night not wanting to come out and face Lexis. Seeing no sign of him around she lets out a sigh of relief. She knew she was mean to him but she couldn't allow Lexis, Shakespeare or even herself entertain notions of being a family. Too much was at stake for all of them. As proven by his actions towards Karen at the party Lexis would move heaven and earth for her and seemed to truly care for her. She had no intention of ruining his happy and peaceful life neither was she ready to put her daughter at stake on a foundation of uncertainty, better a future she was sure of than one she wasn't sure of if she told Lexis the truth or decided to stay.

Seating down on a chair in the kitchen she takes out her phone and calls up Jess.

"Hey,"Jess says answering at the second ring.

"Not that you care as evidenced by you call but It's 5am, you don't call people at 5am," Jess states sounding groggy.

"I need your help," Hera says.

"What's going on?" Jess says voice much clearer and sharper.

"I can't go in to work today, I want to take Shakespeare out to Disneyland. Ever since I arrived I've been caught up with work and really haven't had the time to take her out,"

"And you have to do this now why?"Jess asks relieved she wasn't in trouble but slightly irritated at having to wake up so early on a day she had no court cases.

Because I'm leaving.

"Because things are going to get crazier at work in the coming days what with the presidential race, Mixx opening and all there's going to be absolutely no time to do anything with her,"Hera says.

"So how do I come in to the picture? You need money for the trip?" Jess asks ready to give her the funds.

"No, Jamie sent me some funds,"Hera says.

"Can Jamie send me some funds too? He seems to have a lot,"Jess says jokingly.

"You're not serious, feel free to call him and ask yourself,"Hera replies smiling.

"Erm no thanks, only God knows what lawsuit he'll cook up against me this time," Jess says causing Hera to chuckle.

"So what do you need me for?"

" I need help getting out of work,"Hera answers.

"Call in sick," Jess says astonished that she was called at 5am for what she considered an inconsequential matter.

"I signed an agreement that said no sick days except I am bed ridden and can't get off the bed,"

"Harsh,"

"I know,"

"Then say that you can't get out of bed, it won't be the first lie you've told Lexis," Jess says breaking into a laugh that she ceases once she realizes she's laughing alone.

"Not funny huh?"

"Mhmm," Hera replies.

"Sorry," Jess says and clears her throat.
