I sat in between Damon and Stefan in my car as we drove to a storage facility a few miles away from Mystic Falls before we'd left I'd texted Elijah and told him to get his skinny ass into town to make a deal with Elena, I'd told him what happened to Klaus and he hadn't messaged me back yet.

"Did what?!" Damon shouted making me jump and bump my leg on Stefan, he wrapped an arm around me and kissed my forehead, we hadn't spoken since they loaded me in the car but I didn't miss the concerned looks they threw me whenever they saw a tear running down my face.

"I took her to the hospital. When you find your sister unconscious you call 911" I rolled my eyes, they were talking about Elena, of cause they were talking about Elena, when did they not talk about the stupid bitch, my anger rose but it dissipated when I realised that Klaus was desiccated in the backseat.

"Not when you have a parade of vampires at your disposal," Damon said with a growl, he was displeased.

"Every remaining original is going to want Elena dead to stop Alaric. She's a sitting duck in there" Stefan said loud enough for the human to hear, he practically deafened me though. 

"Well, Meredith wants to keep her here for observation" Jeremy snapped back, he was clearly done with my brother treating him like he was a child.

"Jeremy, get Elena home. We're on our way" Damon hung up and his hand found mine, "Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you not being the dumbest brother on Earth?" he said to Stefan as I leant my head against Damon's shoulder and started to close my eyes.

"You know one of us needs to keep moving, right? If Klaus really is the sire of our bloodline, we need to keep his body hidden before Alaric finds him, kills him and we all end up dead" Stefan said touching my cheek gently.

"Our life is one big proverbial coin toss" I mumbled making Damon chuckle and kiss my forehead as I fell into a dreamless sleep.

"Not! Hello! Did that concussion give you brain damage? His lunatic siblings will kill you the first chance they get!" Damon shouted making me jump awake and stare at him like he'd lost his mind, I looked back at Klaus and sighed, he felt so alive in my dream.

"Rebekah and Kol will honour the terms if you return Klaus' body to us with Alexandra..." I perked up when I heard Elijah's voice "Elena will come to no harm"

"Good to know you come when I call, brother," I said with a small smile, I knew Elijah wouldn't abandon me like that, he knew what to do in situations like this.

"I will always come when you call Allie" I heard the smile in his voice and I could practically feel it, I heard him shift "Do we have a deal?"

"No! No, no, no, no. Did I mention, no!" Damon shouted making me groan, he was giving me a headache.

"Elena, it's up to you" I heard Stefan say, from Elijah's side of the phone, he must've left while I was asleep.

"Oh, come on!" Damon groaned already knowing Elena would agree, my brother in law could be one persuasive ass when he wanted something, and to him, a family was everything, in his eyes together we were stronger.

"Why do you want Klaus' body?" Elena asked, making me scoff.

"Because he's my husband" I growled making Damon flinch and look at me like I'd grown a second head.

"He's my brother," Elijah said matter of factly, his words next calmed me down "We remain together with Alexandra, I'm sure she doesn't want to leave his side" I made a noise in agreement and I heard Elena sigh.

"We have a deal," Elena said making Damon hang up angrily.

"Why do you love him so much, he's caused you nothing but pain," Damon said making me sigh and stare out the window.

"When I was first turned, I had no one, I couldn't go home because father was dead, I couldn't go to Jeffery because I feared that I would lose control and kill him and his children," I shrugged "Klaus was just there, at first I feared him, then one night he followed me when I was going to see the children and he stayed with me all night and just held me, we didn't need to speak and after that I stopped fearing him and saw him differently" I looked at Damon who was silent and he just nodded.

"I came to see you once" he mumbled making me look at him with wide eyes "I saw you with these two little kids and you were so happy, so full of life, if I'd stayed I could've stopped Katherine from killing you and you would've been fine" I laughed and he looked at me.

"Damon, I keep telling you, Katherine's blood didn't turn me, but when I find out whose blood it is, I'll throw them goddamn party, they brought me back to you and Stef, I met Klaus and fell in love, I have a family" I shook my head as tears welled in my eyes "but now I've lost the love of my life" I sniffled and wiped my face clean, I was tired of crying, but I just couldn't stop myself.
