Mias POV
Everyone from Glee Club has been acting super weird this week. Every time Finn or I walk into the room, they stop talking. Even Kurt has been avoiding me.
For example, I walked by Mercedes and Tina in the hallway. Both of them were on the phone, but hid it behind their backs as I walked by. They smiled, but something was off.
I know they're hiding something from me.
I sit in the back of the choir room, watching Puck and Quinn argue in the corner. I try to read their lips, but I'm no good at that.
"Hey guys? Lets uh, gather round" Mr.Shue enters the room.
Puck comes and takes a seat next to me, throwing his left arm around my shoulders. He gives me a smile.
"Well, I've found my replacement. So, give it up for Ms.Pillsbury" Mr.Shue points to Emma Pillsbury, who forms her lips into a straight line.
"She's the one they made me talk to when they found out I was keeping that bird in my locker" Brittany mutters. I furrow my brows.
"So, do you even know anything about music?" Santana asks
"Well--"
"What's important is that she cares about you guys every bit as much as I do. Now... I don't know what the future holds for me, and for us, but I know, Saturday, you're going to make me proud. You guys are gonna be great. So... good-bye for now" Mr.Shue sighs, sticking his hands into his pockets
"What about our set list?" Mercedes reminds him.
"I can't help you with that. You've got to figure that out for yourselves. Bye guys" Mr.Shue regretfully leaves the room.
All of us look at each other with sorrow on our faces.
"Well, we have to do Proud Mary in wheelchairs. That's in." Artie starts
"And Dont Stop Believing for sure" Finn nods.
"What about the ballad?" I speak up.
"I would be thrilled to contribute a ballad from my repertoire." Rachel stands up and goes to the front of the room.
Mercedes scoffs, "You know what Miss Bossy Pants? Enough. I've worked just as hard as you, and I'm just as good as you. You know, you always end up stealing the spotlight."
"Mercedes, do you honestly think you're as strong of a balladeer as I am?" Rachel shrugs. Ms.Pillsbury widens her eyes in fear
Mercedes turns to look at us, mouthing something to Mike and Matt .
"Rachel, why don't you let Mercedes give it a try?" Ms.Pillsbury twiddled with her fingers.
Rachel nods as Mercedes thanks her. Mercedes orders the band a song, and begins singing.
