DyloraPOV

I led my guards out of the shimmering Gate, coughing at the rough Tamrielian air. It was different from the Isles. Of course, I had no time to dwell upon that. Adeo was staring at me expectantly, and I realized she'd asked me a question.

"Forgive me, Adeo." She seemed slightly irked, but restated her query.

"Where are we headed, exactly?" She pursed her lips.

"I'm under orders not to reveal it so soon," I explained reluctantly. I wanted nothing more than to explain everything to my Mazken kinswoman, but no matter what, I couldn't disobey my Lady Sheogorath. I would die for her, and Adeo undoubtedly felt the same. However... "I'll give you further information once we near our final destination," I told her. Adeo seemed satisfied with my explanation, even if I wasn't.

Adeo continued to command our troop, ensuring everyone was aware of what to do in this strange land. "By my calculations," she announced, "we have come to Cyrodil. We must go to Skyrim, where Dylora will then lead us forward." They all turned to me, looking for confirmation. I nodded and waved my hand, allowing Adeo to take the lead.

I trailed at the back, mind focused on Lady Regina. What was wrong with her, and why would she give this order? Nothing made sense. Damn. If only the Golden Saints were here. I surprised myself with the short wish. Our kind had feuded for an eternity, but I truly wished that it was the prideful golden snakes to undertake this journey.

I'd obey my liege regardless, but this was a Regina I didn't want to follow. I was to retrieve the Key of Nocturnal... and slay her family on the return journey.

Why?
