Drabble esque, pretty short :/ i wrote this a little while back, but i know some people don't like lemons, so i thought I should bring something out for them too.

The storm tossed the ship around the sea like a kid with a temper tantrum. It rocked the boat side to side in a stomach churning way. You peeked outside Sans' cabin, worry etched deeply onto your features. Sans was helping his men, clothing soaked through to the bone as he and his crew were pelted with the bullets of rain that crashed down on the decks.

You whimper softly, clutching his hat to your chest and slowly shutting the door with much effort. As the boat rocked, you steadily shuffled to his bed and curled up under it with a soft, shaky sigh. You worried about the men, about Sans.

It was dangerous out there, they could get thrown overboard! Your heart speeds up again, thumping uncomfortably in your chest now. The hat is pressed up against your chest with such force, you almost crumple it with the weight of your hands. A soft cry comes from you when thunder struck above in the dark sky. You may not have been afraid of the storm itself, but you were afraid of what it could do.

Soon, your whimpering and crying dies down to nothing more than a soft weeping, tears no longer wildly falling in blobs, only small trickles of salty tears that lined your cheeks.

It was terrifying, knowing that Sans was out there and could die like that; get tossed into the unforgiving sea of water.

Your terrified mind began to fog with sleep deprivation, pulling your eyes shut and sending you off into a tired sleep. The hat was now held loosely in your arms as you ceased as crying.

A gentle petting woke you up not but an hour or so later, your hair and cheeks being touched by the motion. You recognize the bone like dips in the hands knuckles to be Sans'. Sans'. . . Your groggy mind snaps your eyes open despite how tired you were, stopping the petting. You take the hand slowly having jerked back in surprise.

"S-sans?" You peep quietly, tears springing back to life at the corners of your fogged (e/c) eyes. You don't wait for him to sit, you launch yourself into his arms, your own wrapping tightly astound his neck as you sobbed into his new and dry clothing.

Sans sighs, a grin worming its way onto his face as he nuzzled the crook of your neck. The edge of the bed dipped slightly when he sat down cooing and petting your disheveled form.

"Shh, shh, ever'thin's gonna be fine." He combed your hair with his phalanges, rocking you more gently than the violent pulls of the boat, effectively soothing your beating heart and sending you back into a lulled sleep. One where he curled around you and kept you close, protecting you from the harsh waves that knocked at the decks, looking for brave souls to steal away from their sea life.

He'd keep you safe and hidden from the sea's reach. He loved you too much to give you up just yet, so he held you in his arms and fell into a slumber himself, purring happily in content.
