"She's leaving and not taking anything with her. The excuses and the broken promises along with the shattered dream. She left it all in a pile for him to sift through with the fog of his selective memory and indifferent hands."
- JM Storm

Three girls quietly slipped out of the guild, closing the doors without a sound behind them. The rowdy guild didn't even bat an eyelash at the disappearance of three of their guild mates.

Lucy.

Levy.

Mirajane.

Golden rays of sunlight showed their first brilliance as they slowly but surely faded from a spray of burgundy, purple, to bursts of bright orange and yellow. The streets were close to deserted, which was not shocking with the time of day. Their slim bodies casted long, mysterious shadows as they slowly proceeded towards their destination. Unbeknownst to the rest of their guild mates, the destination that the three had in mind was the Magnolia Library. Why?

The day after tomorrow marked the start of Dragon Mating Season, and the girls were eager to learn about the event that they had just learned about from Master Makarov.

"Mira-chan, Levy-chan, do you think they'll notice?"

"I don't know, Lu-chan..."

Three voices rung out against the empty street. Though seemingly happy, if one looked closer, a hidden loneliness and sadness could be found.

"I hope they will.... even if it takes forever, I promise that I'd be willing to wait for them." The two other girls nodded in agreement at the proclamation that the first girl had made.

But little did they know, they wouldn't be able to keep their promise.
