Due to popular demand, I now present to you part 2, hope you guys enjoy.

How did it come to this point? How did it go from a peaceful signing to nothing but chaos? One moment, the treaty is about to be signed and then, an explosion is heard, the ground trembles and terror-filled screams fill the air. My eyes widened at the sight, not wanting to believe what I'm seeing. The Citadel, my home and the only place I've ever known, lit up in flames and the people of Insomnia are running for their lives.

I could hear fighting coming from the room in which the signing was taking place. Not even thinking about my own safety, I ran straight for the room, being very thankful that I hadn't been wearing a dress. Instead, I had settled for a simple f/c t-short, a pair of jeans and combat boots. Upon opening the door, I immediately freeze in my tracks as my body becomes as still as a stature and my eyes widened in both shock and fear.

"Father!" I shouted out just as a sword was pulled out from his body and he fell to his knees. My body remains frozen in fear as the one who stabbed my father looked towards me, as if I was their next target.

"(Name), run!" Father shouted out before he fell to the ground, his eyes closing for the last time before he hit the ground. Crystal-like tears flew down my cheeks at the sight of my father lying dead on the ground, with no heartbeat, a sight that will forever haunt me. Nothing but fear coursed through my body as I saw the man coming closer, his sword raised beside him, coming closer and closer. I tried to move, to turn away and run to anywhere but here, but my body refused as it was frozen in fear. All I could see was the sword, the one that looked to be running straight through my body anytime now. Not wanting to see what happens next, I closed my eyes and waited for the pain to come, however, I felt nothing. I opened my eyes and saw that Cor had blocked he attack.

"Run, Princess!" Was all he said as he blocked the attack. Knowing that Cor can hold off the one who killed my father and was about to kill me, I quickly turned around and ran, not once looking back as I fled from the heartbreaking scene that took place just moments ago.

Prompto's POV

"That was terrifying." I said as we were making our way back to Golden Quay to hand some gemstone to this Dino guy, after passing an enormous bird-like thing to get it.

"Just be thankful it didn't attack us." Noctis said, and I couldn't agree more. Nothing else was said as we continued forward, my thoughts drifting from the task at hand to my princess who is waiting for me. 'I wonder how everything is back in the Crown City. More specifically, I wonder how (Name) is doing.'

"Hey lover boy." I heard Gladio say, bringing me back to reality.

"What?" I asked.

"Back to reality now? We've returned to Golden Quay, so now we have a gemstone to deliver." With that said, we hopped out of the car and made our way to Dino. The whole time, I remained quiet, a weird feeling begins to form in the pit of my stomach as I suddenly felt as if something bad is about to happen. 'I really hope everything is alright.' I thought.

Time skip

The sun shines bright through the window of the room we have booked here at Golden Quay. As I begin to open my eyes, I stretch my arms over my head, feeling satisfied at the fact of not closing my eyes to fall back asleep. I looked over and saw that Noctis was now awake.

"Heya, morning." I said as Noctis rubbed his eyes before getting off the bed.

"Where's Specs?" He asked, looking around the room.

"Don't worry, he didn't go far. He left the room not long ago, seeing if there is any sort of news that we should be aware of. In fact, he should be back any minute now." Gladio says as he folded his arms over his chest. Not too long after that, the door opened and Ignis walks in, holding a newspaper in his hand. He looks at Noctis with a look of concern and, what looks to be, a hint of sorrow.
