No, it's not because of the petition.
Though it is related to it, it's mainly not the reason why GD got removed.
Robtop said to not worry about that and it will come back someday. Newgrounds also said that them and Rubtop are working together to improve the music thing.
So when I first read the petition, I thought it said to never use Newgrounds songs to GD. Now it makes sense. The petition was actually talking about NG users stealing famous songs like Skrillex and Waterflame and uploading on their account. Honestly, I don't think that happened during the early days of Newgrounds.
Yeah, I would sign the petition. I mean, NG and Rubrub are working together to improve the music problem. That way, there would be a less amount of CP music.
