long time no see?

YET ANOTHER DEEP CHAPTER. enjoy the chap because yuri is finally in love (u can skip to the end and see for yourself.)

"Ah, so you like the son of a bitch," Rebecca stated, grinning at Valerie.

"If you're talking about Yuri, no," Valerie emphasized every word. "And why would you start a conversation like this? It makes me cringe."

Laughing softly, the Spanish inquired, "Did you feel it?"

"Which one?" Valerie replied, knowing what the punk was talking about. "The brightness... or the emptiness?"

"Both," Rebecca answered. "There were rumors- some of which obviously reached me with their fame. They said Yuri Plisetsky is a performer with no passion- an artist with no inspiration."

"Possessing his own style of skating; one with no emotion," Valerie concluded.

"Exactly."

"Where are you going with this, Miss Legendary?"

"Alekseev," Rebecca addressed. "Do you think everything will be the same if you didn't... pop up in the last minute and gave that fag some kind of... lovely inspirational talk?"

"I don't think those words we told each other should. . . be labeled as inspirational," With a hint of accepted sadness in her voice, the Russian proceeded to walk away. "It was more of a sweet farewell."

------

"Shiny gold," teased Nikiforov, marching through the hall with his junior.

"As if you didn't win too, moron," replied Yuri as he scrolled through his Instagram. "What the fuck, I have a hundred more follower requests today."

"Oh, how I wish I was as handsome as you, my knight Prince Yuri of Moscow," Viktor impersonated. "How I dream of you killing this dragon with your skating blades..."

Glaring at Viktor while munching on a pirozhki, Yuri cringed, "You're horrible. And you've got Emily, so don't pretend to be brokenhearted as fuck."

"Speak of the devil." Viktor smiled.

"Have you seen Valerie?" Emily asked. "Are they on break?"

"Junior ladies are already preparing," Viktor answered. "For everyone's comfort, and the skaters' discomfort," He chuckled, "after this break, their rounds will begin."

"We should go watch them," suggested the Senior Ladies silver medallist.

"Yeah right, Emily Nikiforov," Yuri said in monotone, grabbing a bowl of borscht.

"Y-you shut up!" Emily stammered. "As if you don't like Valerie."

"You'll see soon," Yuri sighed, "then think again about what you just said."

Something's odd with Yuri today, Viktor thought, but he just let it slide. "We should get going now."

----

"THIS HOUR AND THIS EVENT IS PROOF THAT NOTHING CAN STOP THE SPIRIT OF FIGURE SKATING!" announced the optimistic commentator.

"That was a real creep a while ago, wasn't it?" The other chuckled. "But dear audience, sit back and relax as you forget what happened, with these graceful young ladies!"

Applause.

"There are more people than usual," the Japanese stated.
