Two Kinds of Super

Chapter 7

Scarlett's POV
Everyone took a seat at the table, I stood at the end, Kaz and Oliver sat in front of me

"Good, now that everyone's here. We can get started" I said, I turned to the projection board and showed the picture of me and Nightro with his kids on the roof of a building

"Nightro was out in the middle of the day working on a machine atop the Wiltshire Grand Center Tower in Los Angles" I showed the building itself on the projection board

"A hotel? Why was he on a hotel?" Oliver asked

"That is something we are unsure of, but this-" I pulled up the machine on the board "-is what he was building"

"That looks like the villain's communication device in one of your comics Phantom, the time you destroyed it" Kaz pointed out

"Right, when I snuck in as a villain and destroyed their enter communication system so they wouldn't have contact with any villain for a while" I said

"It was your first suicide mission" a voice spoke, I looked at the door and Skylar was there!

"Skylar!" I said happily, she smiled and walked up towards me, hugging me

"Good to have you here, take a seat" I gestured to a seat next to Oliver and she sat down, Oliver looked nervous

"Anyways, he has two kids, Claire and TJ. Twins, with incredible power completely different from him" I showed a picture of them

"Wait, those look like the kids from our school, in our math class" Oliver said

"Good, so we know where to locate them" I said  "Now, we need some of you to go under cover and secretly take them. Without alerting there father of their disappearance until we can capture all of them" I explained

"About the battle, that was too easy don't you think?" Spark said, she's been in harder fights but she's right, Solar flare nodded in agreement

"Your right, Claire seemed ticked I made her powers useless but TJ stood there, like he was planning something" I said, thinking back to the fight

"But he's got Night Posion, he almost killed me but Kaz and Oliver saved my life" I smiled towards them, Kaz smiled back and so did Oliver

"Wait, go back to the machine" Skylar said, I did and she looked at it closer

"This isn't the one you destroyed in the villains lair, the controls are different look" she pointed out the different switches and buttons and more, she's right, and it radiated with power, Evil power

"You're right, those controls are way different and the power felt, darker" I didn't know how to put this into words "I don't know how to describe it but it had some dark power with it, something more demonic"

"Phantom!" On of the staff members ran into the room, he looked out of breath "One of our superheroes have been captured" he panted

"Which one?" I asked quickly

"Titanio" he said, he pulled out a note and handed it to me, I took it and read it out loud

"Superheroes, I have your friend Titanio and I will give him back for what was rightfully mine. If I don't get it back in the next 24 hours Titanio will die" that caught everyone's attention "You know what it is Phantom, bring it at the abandoned warehouse by tonight, alone. Your favorite villain, Nightro" I finished reading and folded the paper

"Just what we need, thank you Brain Matter, you can go now" he nodded and left, I sighed rubbing my forehead

"What did he mean by 'you know what it is'?" Crusher asked
