this is very different to the stuff I usually write but here goes .....

The tree swayed side to side, the rain beated against the window as hard as it could. It was so dark outside. A big flash of lightning filled the air, with a gigantic boom three seconds later. I bit my lip and walked to the couch.

I called Jesse an hour ago when it was still just a little rain. Where could he be? Another big flash of lightning and a bigger boom. The reason I called Jesse was because I was scared of lightning and thunder because my father always told me scary stories at that time and said that that’s when the monsters come out.

A knock on the door, while a big clap of thunder crashed through the sky. I bit my lip and walked to the door and opened it to see Jesse. I smiled and brought him inside. “What took you so long? I was so worried..” I said, studying his face. He looked paler then usual… and his eyes. His eyes were a way lighter blue.. almost a clear blue.. ghostly almost.

“Sorry, babe. Traffic..” He whispered, why would he whisper? He is always so loud.

“Oh… Well I am just glad that you are fine.” I said, kissing his lips and hugging him around his neck. I pulled away… He was cold, his lips were freezing. He smiled and put his forehead against mine. “I love you and never forget that..” He whispered and pulled me to the couch and turned on the tv.

We watched some tv, sometime cutting off. We cuddled in blankets and had popcorn with some hot chocolate. What I noticed was, he was still cold.. Not even a hint of warm. “Babe, are you fine? Are you sick?” I said all of the sudden, turning to face him.

“Yeah, just…just go to sleep. It’s already twelve something.” He said, smiling and kissing my forehead. I sighed and smiled, putting my head against his chest, feeling his breath....

I woke up in a bundle of blankets, the popcorn in the ground and the mugs on the coffee table. I yawned and stretched, noticing that Jesse wasn’t there. I stood up and look at the time. 5:39 am. Jesse would never wake up at this time. I walked to the kitchen, bathroom, and all the bedrooms. No sign of him. I frowned and turned on the tv, I haven’t watched the news for a while.

I sat back down and listen to the story case of today.

“….the biggest crash of the year. 12 people reported dead. The rain was to hard yesterday and one of them slid against one of the other cars and that other car jointed back and caused a chain reaction. We have gotten 11 people out of their car but we can not find the other person, the car slid off the highway and into the forest. The only thing that remains is his wallet.” I swallowed and had a really bad gut feeling. I hoped they find this guy alive.

“Oh.. Hold up. they just found the person in the forest ground. He has been dead for about ten hours. He had a bad head injury and his rib cage was broken.” I gasped and looked at the names in the screen. Jane Madison Hewfor… Family Chavez… “OH MY GOD! JESSE!” I screamed, standing up and putting my hand in my mouth. No. He can’t be, he was with me last night. I threw my remote on the ground, collapsing to the ground and crying. Crying was the only thing for right now, crying was the only thing that could help me right now. “Jesse… Jesse.” I whisper, my head hitting the floor.

I realized that I may have had seen the ghost of my boyfriend, trying to be the sweetest thing for me to remember last. He wanted me to remember him and know he loves me. I do have proof he went there last night. The hot chocolate was gone in his mug, and I would never drink from his mug. His smell was burning in my nose, his lynx had filled the house. His cold kisses I could still feel on my cheeks, forehead and most of all, my lips. Lastly, one of his necklace he would always wear was on my neck, the coldness against my skin.

I’m just glad I could see him before he left…
