Kill Me With Love (Karma Akabane)

XXXIII.Possessive

Before he leaves her that night, while sitting next to each other...
He takes her hand and stares at her wrists for a few seconds.

"K-Karma?" Achlys calls his name, feeling confused as to why
he was staring at her pale skin.

"Like a glass" Karma muttered before he slowly moves his head
down, closer to her wrists, "you are fragile" he said and then gently
kissed her wrists. "I won't break you, Achlys" He shut his eyes while
feeling his own lips touching her soft, delicate skin.

That night was full of love and lots of kisses, including affectionate words.
He got her heart in his hands and promises to never break it. She holds his
hand as she escorts him outside. Before he leaves, he frowns and asks her,

"Are you sure you want to stay here for the meantime?" Karma asked
with a concerned look on his face, sounding sad at the same time.

Gently, Achlys places her hand on his face, caressing his cheeks. The night
was silent, the wind playfully twirls around the two of them. The light of the
crescent moon kisses their skins and on the ground falls their shadows...
"I'll be fine here. Qo won't be able to come here again" She said with
a calm smile, attempting to reassure her lover.

"What if he tries to hurt you again? I'll never forgive myself.
   Let's runaway together, my Juliet" Karma says with a serious face
and then smiles after jokingly referencing to Romeo & Juliet.

"Wasn't that a tragic love story..? I am a fan of tragedies.
  But our story can't end that way. So for now, we can't
  runaway. We still need to kill Korosensei, right?" Achlys reminds him
of their goal.

Karma chuckles and finally gives in to her. "Alright... fine. I'll let you
  stay here if you promise that you will give me a call immediately
  if something comes up. The next time, I'll take you and we'll run
  away together." He said with a blissful smile, finally feeling assured.

Achlys nods and offers her pinky finger to intertwine with his,
"Look into my eyes... like you always do. I promise, no more
  lies." She says with a firm smile.

He looks directly into her eyes with that usual smile of his as he
intertwines his pinky finger with hers. "Okay." He agrees to her
promise.

Karma gave her the notes he was supposed to deliver and then
finally left, she waves her hand, bidding him goodbye and goodnight
at the same time. As she walks back inside her room...

An unknown man sitting in the dark, on the bed, looking down on the
floor speaks all of a sudden, breaking the deafening silence inside her
lonely home. "Are you sure you want to go that way?" His voice was
different from Qo's, it sounded more gentle and calm, he asked like it
was a casual question. His image was barely seen due to the darkness,
but his shadowed image shows his dark hair and crimson eyes.

Achlys stands there as she stopped walking. Her back faces the man
on the bed. She looks into the mirror that was in front of the bed,
looking at the man's reflection on the mirror. Finally, she smiles
with her head held up high. "Yeah." She nodded and answered,
Achlys seemed and sounded content.

..at the same time, the man reacts, "Heh" he muttered as he
let out a smile.

As she looked back, there wasn't any man on the bed and no signs
of a person around her house, it was a complete illusion... yet, she
believed in it.
