Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the Scottish wizarding school, located in the Highlands of Scotland. It takes students from Scotland, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
The school's motto is 'Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus' which translated from Latin, means "Never tickle a sleeping dragon".
Aurora the Creature first heard about Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in a pub in Calais, where she'd bribed the manager to let her stay without identification. A group of lamenting graduates had sat a table away from her, the same glazed look of intoxication adorning their eyes as they toasted to the road ahead, having just finished their education.
"To Hogwarts!" They'd cheered, clinking glasses of beer together.
Aurora, having sat in a booth with a huge coat buttoned up to obscure her wings, had observed the group with curiosity. They were an odd bunch of bespectacled young adults and mismatched muggle clothing, bemoaning their fleeing childhoods.
This intrigued her, for they were a couple of students who spoke English in a french dominated city and pub. They stood out without even trying.
The word Hogwarts had rung around in her head, and the next day she'd gone and read a french copy of Hogwarts: a History in a shabby little Wizarding bookstore, where the owner was so old he'd slept through Aurora reading all of the book in one sitting.
And that was all that had been of Hogwarts, the next day she'd left Calais and taken a ferry to Eastbourne.
The thought of ever standing before the prestigious castle had never crossed her mind. There had never been any kind of longing for the life of a Hogwarts student in young Aurora's mind, she was young, but she wasn't so naive as to not know what her stand in society was. She'd never even tried to imagine what the castle would be like.
But Aurora never imagined that the view of the castle would strike her utterly speechless.
The pristine fortress was surrounded by an expanse of water Aurora identified as the Black Lake, far off from the other side being a fringe of dark woods that she also remembered as the Forbidden forest. The castle itself seemed to stand in the centre of it all, pointy towers high in the sky as the ancient and historic place of education was situated in a way that immediately drew attention from everything else.
Aurora allowed herself a few minutes of being star-struck, before she changed course and headed to the village of Hogsmeade. She landed on the outskirts, just a few alleys away from the train station where the rest of them would be arriving. Quietly and quickly in a back-alley Aurora restrained her wings and buttoned up her coat, gripping her wand in her pocket as she started on her way to the station. True to her word, she got there a few minutes early. So Aurora enjoyed a smoke as she waited for the train to arrive.
Once the train arrived, Aurora stayed back as a flurry of students flocked past her, it wasn't hard to find the Golden Trio, she picked up the word 'Potter' almost immediately.
"I'm surprised the Ministry is letting you walk around free, Potter." An obnoxious voice drawled as Aurora neared the three.
The voice belonged to a boy with strangely pale hair, almost completely white, and sharp features, talking down his nose to Potter.
