One of the doors slam close while Alice and I walk over to the nearest wall in the dining room. Daniel somehow was pulled into the room along with Harrison, Curler, Steven and the kid twins. Alice was quick to explode.

"What the f**k?" she mumbles quietly as she slides her back on the wall. Her earphones lay like a tangled yarn ball on her legs.

"Don't leave her earphones like that or you'll be even more angry," I sigh. A wave of exhaustion rolls down my shoulders as I see Alice with her fist clench on her phone.

"Crap Austry. You don't freaking get this sh*t," she cusses out like venom.

No probably not to the length you do and I am also pretty sure you're going to explain it either way.

"Probably not," I shrugs, "But if you would just tell me maybe you wouldn't feel as quote unquote 'fucked'."

"Hilarious," Alice rolls her eyes before her hands cover them and she exaggerates a sigh through her hands "Fine! How the f**k does he confuse a white fox with Cynthia? Like that boy and his stupid games!"

Her hissing make me pull back slightly "He's our friend may I remind you. We already know he is really into Smash Bros so-"

"That's not a f**ing excuse Austry! This isn't some book where everything is promised to end well. People are f**king spying-" she screams and forces herself to confront me.

"Sure sounds like a book," I scoff but breathe out and place my hands on her shoulder to shake the pressure off.

"Don't f**king touch-"

"Shut the hell up!" I yell and shake her violently.

"Don't you f**king scream at me-"

"Alice... calm the heck down," I sneer as delicately as I could "This all sounds like out of a paranormal novel and even so the enemy would want their target to freak out."

Could this be just the beginning? The appearance of a stranger would mean plot twist will arise soon enough well when we talk about a story. Usually werewolf books are all about the bonding process and when a foe comes into the picture, they tend to want to draw attention to themselves. Is that what is going on here?

"F**k" she mumbles and pulls away.

"Yeah I must agree with you there Alice. I would just appreciate a less harsh word around the little ones," I abruptly turn in shock and panic but all that fades when I see a cheery smile.

"Ag-lice! Whitey!" Agnus claps her hands. Boris smiles at both of us but I felt like an arrow was shot at me.

"Whitey? Whitey? Nooo don't call me that, Agnus please," I beg. I am not even white just my hair and I can't help that. Well I mean I can but who the hell has time for that pfft!

"Whitey!" Agnus giggles and holds onto her father's face with her small and chubby hands.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry, I called you that only once! Angus honey don't call her that she doesn't like it," I grabs her daughter and pulls her arms so she could see his eyes when he speaks to her.

I felt a nudge at my side, "Aww is whitey mad?" You f*-.

Oh crap. Alice's ways are rubbing off on me.

'Jerk,' I glare at her.

"It's okay," I dismissively shake it off with a forced grin "She's just a kid and well at least she notices me somehow." Boris chuckles to himself and shakes his head.

"Come to the table. I am sure they will be out to talk to us all," he nudges us toward the group. Alice sighs and pushes her glasses up with her fingers before flipping her long raven hair to the back and walking to the group.
