Daniel and Alice stood frozen as they saw me crying in Steven's arms.
"Get the fuck away from her" Alice growled as she lunged towards as Steven.
Steven quickly blocked as he let me go, "It wasn't what it looks like!" he yelled.
"Then what was it, you creep!" Alice screamed louder draining out Steven's voice. Daniel's arms suddenly wrapped around me as he settled down his bag next to me. I couldn't help but wipe the tears away. I touched as his arms wrapped themselves and stood still.
"Calm down. He was just holding me because I was panicking when they were taking-" I paused and sighed, I was unable to finish my sentence. I just decided to lean into Daniel.
Steven's face looked puzzled as he exchange glances with me, I looked at the floor as a response. His phone rang, he signalled us to stay where we were. Alice looked at him as he stepped out of the room. "Hello...Harrison..yeah" he said with the phone at his ear.
Alice suddenly softened as she huffed out. She ran to us and join our group huddle.
"Are you okay?" she whispered as she smiled lightly.
"Yeah, I'll live. That wasn't very nice though... Talking to him like that...he's still an adult..and then a werewolf.."
"You didn't look so comfortable, I thought he fucking did something...werewolf or not.. I reacted..." she said scratching back of her head before she rolled her eyes.
Steven stepped back into the room as he hanged up the phone.
He looked our way in discomfort "We're leaving to meet a friend but we need to walk through the forest to reach him. Those people who came by this morning...they aren't friendly".
We turned to each other. 'Obviously, the government isn't our friend if we are more than human, that's why rumors of area 51 exist, moron'.
Daniel then looked up " how do you know about the people who came today" Daniel asked suspiciously. There was a silence in the room.
"Grab your things. We must leave now" he said as he started to walk outside. We hurried like he said as we grabbed our bags. 'Again... He totally ignored the question!'
I looked around one last time as I shut the door and locked it. 'Oh god... Bye home'
Steven headed through the trees leading to my playground. He looked at it for a moment as he stood there waiting for us to catch up. I ran to Daniel and Alice as we met with him. He didn't say anything to us but kept his pace ahead of us.
The trees grew denser as we walked into the forest. The house disappeared behind them. I can't see my house anymore.
My excitement increased as I saw the sun turn red behind the trees. I looked to my friends to looked tense. I punched Daniel and pinched Alice.
