(Link's P.O.V)

We all stood next to the front wall of the building, waiting for a moment for us to go in. I stood next to Avery, waiting for (y/n)'s okay to go in. She looking over the edge, looking back to us and nodding," the cost is clear."

She turned, walking inside the building as we followed. I looked to Avery, keeping my voice a whisper," Avery, how can I get (Y/n) to let me stay?"

"I'm not sure dear, it is her choice..." She trailed off, shaking her head," times pretty busy right now...maybe wait tell after we defeat Damien, then ask her. Less will be on her mine then."
"Okay..." I looked down, thinking about it. (Y/n) lead us into the building, walking down the large halls. The hallway was empty, though there were guards in here. You could hear then talking to each other down the halls, so they were here.

"Into this room," (Y/n) opened a door, pushing it open and stepping aside. The angles went in first, Avery after them. As I walked by, I looked to (Y/n), meeting her (e/c) eyes for a moment before containing into the room. She shut the door behind us, walking to my side. There were a small set of stairs behind us. The stairs lead to a down stairs area, one with some kind of liquid that glowed and brightened the room.

"What is that stuff?" Lina walked down the stairs, walking over to the liquid and pressing her hands to the glass, staring at it widened eyed.

"Not sure," (Y/n) muttered, walkign over to it and studying it. The liquid ran into some kind of machine in the far corner, what ever it did it was loud," maybe one of Damien's experiments."

"Experiments?" I repeated, looking to her then the machine.

"Yes, Damien would do all shorts of experiments on monsters, to make them strong for war and such," Nichole explained, shaking her head," just like him."

"We should shut it down, just in case," Mason walked over to lever, looking at it. Next to the lever were the words 'Shut Down'.

"Wait-" (Y/n) spun around as Mason pulled the lever. Once he did so, an alarm echoed though the room. We all looked around as the room blinked red. (Y/n) sighed, looking down," great. Just great."

"W-What do we do?!" Lina yelled, clinging to Mason as she looked ready to cry.

"Follow me!" (Y/n) turned, running up the stairs. We all followed her as we ran out the door, heading towards the exit of the building. As we ran, a guard jumped in front of (Y/n). She stopped, turning her body as the guard cut her shoulder. She gasped, falling and holding her shoulder as Nichole ran past her, jabbing on of her arrows into the guards neck. The guard fell as Nichole pulled the arrow out of his neck.

"(Y/n) are you okay?" I kneeled down besides her as she nodded, standing up and glaring at the guard then looking to Nichole," Thanks, Nichole."

"Whatever, don't get use to it or anything," she hissed, though I could see her smile slightly. We headed towards the doors, opening them and turning around. (Y/n) stopped, turning. Guards ran towards us, ready to fight. There were to many to fight with just us.

"Mason. Bow," (Y/n) reached her hand behind her as Mason nodded, handing her his bow and an arrow. (Y/n) aimed it, not lookign away from the guards," Everyone get out, now!"

"(Y/n)-" Mason grabbed my hand running out of the building, dragging me behind him. I ripped my arm away from him, turning to (Y/n). I couldn't leave her. I couldn't.

(Y/n) lined up the shot, letting the arrow lose. The arrow hit the first guard, right on contact, it blew up. All I remember next was a explosion. I remember being thrown back, outside of the building.

I opened my eyes, my head aching. I looking to my side were (Y/n) was lying, her eyes haft open. I heard a humming noise in my ear as I tried to wake up. The whole building was gone, that's for sure. (Y/n) looked to me, blinking," I told you to leave, idiot."

"I wasn't going to leave you behind," I muttered, though it hurt to talk. The pain soon went way as I saw (y/n) sit up. I sat up, holding my head. I was right, the building was gone. The only thing left was a few bricks and flames," that's one way of killing them..."

I heard (Y/n) laughed slightly as she shook her head.

"(Y/n)! Link!" We turned around as Avery ran towards us, the others behind her," are you two okay?!"

"Yes," (Y/n) stood up, moving her hair behind her ear," we're alive at least."

I stood up, dusting my self off and smiling. Avery sighed, shaking her head," sometimes your crazy (Y/n)."

"Must run in my family then," (Y/n) smirked, turning to the building then away," lets get going, we'll make camp up here."

She began to walk off as everyone nodded, following after her. I ran to her side, smiling as I stared forward. She looked to me and smirked, shaking her head and looking forward with a small laugh.

~~~Time skip~~~
We all made camp in a field not too far away. Lina and Mason stared a fire as they all sat down, talking. I looked up from the fire, over to (Y/n) who was sitting by a pond, not far away. The sun had already set and the stars were already out in the sky. I heard Lina yawn as she rubbed her eyes," I'm going to get some sleep. See you all in the morning."
"I'm going to sleep too, good night," Mason stood up as did Nichole and Avery. They all walked over to were a small, broken down house was, just like the one we stayed in a while back. Avery stopped and looked to me," are you staying up?"
"Yeah..." I nodded, smiling softly. She nodded, following the others. I turned back, looking to (y/n). She hugged her knees to her chest, staring out into the sky. Her hair blew softly in the wind as she sat there quietly. I stood up, walking over to her side and sitting down, looking up at the stars," what are you thinking about?"
"...My family..." She whispered, staring at the sky. I closed my eyes, trying to think about how her family was," I bet they were very nice."
"Yes...they were," (Y/n) nodded in agreement, then laughed to her self," you know, my mother would have loved you. She always talked about how some day I'd grow up and find love. She always talked about how the wedding would be and how she would plan it for me...Father and Damien always though she was a bit crazy."
I laughed, nodding," I bet she was nice...what was your father like?"
"He was a lovely king, everyone loved him. He did anything for his people, and his family," (Y/n) explained silently. I stared at the stars, trying to imagine what (Y/n)'s parents were like. I don't really know if I can miss my parents...I never knew them like (Y/n) knew hers. I wonder if their all watch down on us, maybe their friends.
"How long do we have until we fight Damien?" I asked, changing the subject and looking to (Y/n). She thought for a moment, her expression becoming serious.
"Not long now. Tomorrow we'll head to the castle. That's were we'll find him," (Y/n) explained as I nodded.
"So not long, huh?"
"Yeah, so make sure you get sleep. Its not going to be as easy here on out. Damien must have the guards watching the castle and outer town. He's waiting for us," She stood up, looking to me.
"Okay...I'll see you in the morning then, (Y/n)," I smiled, standing up and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before walking off the the abandon building. She walked over to the fire and sat down, keeping watch for the night I bet. I couldn't help but stay awake, wondering how the fight would go. I hope it goes well. Tomorrow, all of our work will pay off. The war will end, this time, for good.
