Two Demigods...Three Wizards... A Whole Lot of Bad Guys

Mady's POV

I couldn't help but get lost in the son of Hades onyx eyes. I saw how his messy hair fell into his eyes and his pale skin seemed to glow. Over all my friend was pretty hot, but he would never like me that way. It always made me sad. I hadn't even realized I had started to tear up until I felt Nico pull me into his strong embrace.

"Hey it's okay Mady." He said petting my hair. I wrapped my arms around his waist and burried my head in his neck. 

"Your shining." Nico said laughing. I blushed. Whenever I was really happy I would, glow as Nico called it.

"Like a fifth avenue diamond." I sang laughing.

"Living in a world so plastic baby your so classic." Nico sang along with me, laughing.

Nico seemed to always shut people out, but he never seemed to do that to me. It was probably because I knew him since he came to camp half blood. And that promise I made...

I watched as a mini bus crashed into the canoe lake and I ran over to see what was going on. There was Percy Jackson and Thalia Grace. There was a boy about my age. Like 10 and a group of girls who were staying far away Percy and the boy. The boy seemed to be glaring at one of the girls. She looked about twelve with tan skin and freckles going across the bridge of her nose. She looked a lot like the boy.

"Percy?!" I screamed running over to him and looking around for my sister, but she wasn't there. I was grabbed by fear and I started to frantically search for Annabeth.

"Annie?" I screamed looking around. I looked to Percy who just glanced away, but not before I saw the sadness in his eyes. "Percy? Where's Annabeth?" I asked close to tears.

He bit his lip and walked over to me crouching down to my height.

"Well Annabeth went with the bad people. You know to do spy on them." He said giving me a small smile, but I didn't buy it.

"Liar." I said quietly. Percy sighed.

"Annabeth fell. We don't know if she's alive." He said sadly. I felt my eyes tear up, but I wouldn't allow myself to cry not in front of all these people. I pulled myself up to my full height and looked Percy straight in the eye.

"She'll be fine. Annabeth is strong and brave. I feel bad for anyone who tries to get in her way. She'll beat them up!" I said confidently. To bad I didn't believe it, but Percy smiled and ruffled my hair. 

"You're right Mady. They don't stand a chance against your sister." I smiled back at Percy. Maybe she would be fine. 

I turned my attention to the boy standing next to Percy. "Hi I'm Mady." I said smiling to him.

He frowned and didn't reply. I was a bit hurt, but I didn't give up.  "What's your name?" I asked. The boy peeled his eyes off the girl and looked at me. 

"Nico." He said softly.

"I like your name." 

'"Thanks, but..." He trailed off. I frowned.

"But what?" 

"I don't want to get close to a girl. You just end up leaving." He said sadly. It felt like he had taken my knife and stabbed me with it. He was accusing of leaving him before he even knew me?

"I won't leave you!" I said showing that it had hurt me.

"You won't?" He asked suddenly perking up.
