Everyone knows that some books on Wattpad tend to have very cliche romance storylines which follow the pattern of 'fight- make up- fight again- get back together'. Does this happen in reality?
I get that writers want to create some drama but this kind of yoyo relationship has gotten boring for most readers as it seems to appear in EVERY book.
Rather than rushing into the relationship, maybe let them have their bumps and fights before they actually become a couple to make it slightly less cliche. Or just have one big break up which is over something significant.
The relationship shouldn't be a sudden thing, the love they have should gradually grow rather than be abrupt- this will seem more believable.
If you are having trouble writing a realistic relationship, look around you. Maybe you can gain inspiration from an old couple you see on a bench. Or a young couple who are awkwardly making conversation.
Just please, stop with the constant arguments which get resolved in a second. If you're going to have your characters fight, at least make them fight for more than a chapter.
