"I told you I'd tell you everything so here goes nothing" Lu breathes out as sits on my leopard print loveseat patiently waiting.
"Before I ever met you I was messing with a whole bunch of girls. I met this girl named Nina and we hooked up a few times but I always took precautions. Then when I did meet you I stopped talking to all those chicks. Everything was fine and then like maybe a year into our relationship , we were getting married and dre was about to be born I got a call from Nina. She told me that she had a two month old daughter that was mine. I asked her why she waited so long to tell me and she told me that she didn't even know she was pregnant until she was giving birth at six months. Maybe a week later Nina died in a car crash" he stops as he looks up at me. Damn this shit is messy I think as I slouch in my chair.
"So going off her word I just thought I was this little girl's dad. I was stupid and broke back then so I couldn't really get a DNA test done. Plus I felt bad for the kid , her mom was dead then if I would've abandoned her too that'd been fucked up.Nina's mom took care of her and I just sent money every week. I've never met her and I know that makes me less of a man but I knew you'd think something else went down if I told you so I kept it secret"he adds avoiding eye contact.
"How did boo boo kitty know?" I question.
"She realized I was sending lump sums of money to an random person she thought I was cheating so she tracked it and went to the girls house" he reveals.
"Crazy ass bitch" I state rolling my eyes.
"I got an DNA test done a week ago and here are the results" he adds showing me the big yellow envelope. I take it out and skim it all,as I read the fine print I want to smack him over the head with it.
"The kid's not even yours dummy" I shout handing him the papers.
"Oh, damn so all of that for nothing"he states smiling like this is a joke.
"Okay so out with the next thing you did" I add sitting back in my chair trying to brace myself for what's about to fall out his mouth.
"I offed Ty" he blurts making me scrunch my face up at him.
"Why?" I question. Tyrese was one of best friends and he died suddenly after I went to prison. Nobody ever knew what happened, it was like he dropped from the face of the earth.
"Because he ran up on the gang threatening to tell on us all for the people we 'took care of' if we didn't get you out."
"So you killed him?" I ask confused.
"It was more Vernon's idea than mine but I thought you should know" he breathes shaking his head.
"I never slept with any women until 3 years after the divorce. I was drunk and anika was a bartender wearing a short dress" he confesses out of nowhere with a gag. I just shake my head and laugh.
"That's all?" I push.
"I mean that's all the fucked up shit you need to know about" he says jokingly making me throw him the side eye.
"Okay, um that's a lot to digest but I understand why you did what you did when it comes to Nina. I still love you don't worry but promise me that's it" I state my eyes serious.
"I promise" he adds looking me in the eyes matching my gaze.
"Okay" is all I say as I reach for my phone that has been vibrating since the party yesterday.
We aren't at my house so maybe its my help wanting to know what to throw out.
