Super Smash School

Chapter 20.

Zeldas Pov.

I direct Link towards the tall tree. We walk to it and climb up the twisted roots. He gives me a boost and we make our way up. The branches are thick and sturdy so it is fairly easy to climb.

"How are you doing up there, Zel?"

"Hah, I'm hanging in here.. How about you?" I return.

"Climbing trees and vines is a secret talent of mine." He replies.

"Oh yeah? How come you're below me?!" I add with a smirk.

"I'm here to catch you if you fall, Princess. It's my job but if you insist on viewing my secret talent, then that is what I shall do." Link exclaims while pulling himself onto each branch and practically jumping up the tree.
He's very fast and passes me in no time. Next thing I know is that his hand is held out to pull me onto an extremely large branch that we can stand on.

"Wow, Link. I had no idea you were part monkey!" I say jokingly.
He pulls me up with one big tug and brings me in to a solid embrace.

"I wouldn't want to miss last period with anyone else." Link says.

"Good. I wouldn't want you missing last period with anyone else!" I joke.
We make our way to the edge of this ginormous branch and gaze onto the enchanting view.
The fireflies reflection onto the water looks like stars. The grass and trees peacefully sway in harmony with the wind. Looking at the sunlight glistening on the water makes it look like there is gold flowing inside of it.

"Link, This is amazing. I-i am lost for words."

"You don't have to say anything. Just take it all in." Link reassures while pulling me beside him.
We lay down and cuddle. The slight drumming of his breath and the gentle wind start pulling me into a bottomless sleep as if it were casting a spell on me. My eyelids get heavier and heavier until they are fully shut.

* *    Time Skip   *  *
I wake up to the sight of beautiful stars. Sparkling through the night sky... NIGHT SKY!? Oh my goodness! Link and I must've been sleeping for a few hours because it wasn't night time the last time I checked.
I look over to the blonde boy who has his arm around me. His hair fell into the front of his eyes and he had a bit of drool sliding down the side of his mouth.
"Link.. Link, come on! Wake up." I yell while shaking him.
He lets out a slight grown and finally opens his eyes.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" He asks, still caught in a sleepy haze.
"We must've fallen asleep for 5 hours! It's already night time!" I say nervously. Oh no! We're going to get into so much trouble. The campus will have guards around it and if they catch us, we might get suspended!
Link looks at his watch.
"Zelda, It's fine. It is only 8:32pm. I'll sneak us in. Don't  worry one bit. It's probably because time travels faster in the field" He reassures me. "Now we have to get down this tree. Follow me." He says while climbing down every few branches and stopping to make sure I get there safely. Once we make it to the bottom. We look around. The water is calm and some of the flowers and plants all around are glowing. Fireflies pass us as we view this sight. I've never seen something like this before...
Link says "We could go back... or we could go for a swim?"
I laugh and look around.
"I'm in!" I admit.
Link gets excited and takes off most of his clothing except underwear revealing his muscular body. I take off everything except my undershirt and underwear.
"Ready... Set... Go!" I say while him and I start running into the water. It is shallow enough to stand. I dip under wetting my hair and face. Link full on jumped in at the beginning. We start laughing and come together.
I look behind us and see a few animals minding their own business. I turn back around and see Link looking into my eyes. Granting me with this feeling of deep venerability but it's so reassuring that I can't help but feel very safe with him.
The forests illuminates with a passionate glow. A rich luminescence radiates from around us lighting up the flowers.
